Is there a super compatibility patch for this mod with More Bloodlines and Dragon Portraits? I see the patches for each of them separately, but I think they all modify the Dragon events file, correct?

Indeed, I think they all change that file and no, there is not a compatibility patch for all three in use together.

Is this mod compatible with floppy's Cripple Bastards and Broken Things submod? If not would it be hard to make one?

Is this mod compatible with floppy's Cripple Bastards and Broken Things submod? If not would it be hard to make one? It is not compatible as both submods change some of the same files. It probably wouldn't be too hard to make a compatch, but I don't have time to do any modding at the moment. If someone wishes to make one and post it in this thread, they are free to do so.

How does this work? do i need the compatch and the regular download? If you don't use More Bloodlines or the More Bloodlines/Congenital Overhaul mods, then just use the regular. If you use More Bloodlines, use the appropriate compatch version in addition to the regular download. If you use the combination version of More Bloodlines with Congenital Overhaul, use that compatch in addition to the regular download.

To make a compatch you would need to know how to make a basic mod, with the conflicting mods set as dependencies in the .mod file. For this, I would suggest checking out the CK2 modding wikis; this one to start off with. There are other wikis for event modding, scripting, map modding, etc. For the files, I take the file which has the most changes in it from the start, make a copy of it, place it in the compatch mod I'm making, open it up in Notepad++, open up the other identical file in the other submod in Notepad++, and then use the Compare tool (think you'll have to download this for Notepad++, doesn't come with) to compare the two files and then integrate the changes from the second file into the first one. In the case where the two files make changes to the same lines within the file compared to the base AGOT submod, you'll have to decide which changes are more important for you to use.

It really depends on which submod ends up being loaded after the other. If CBB is loaded after Valyrian Blood, hatching and taming may seem fine, but because the conflicting files, the blood traits will end up being useless and will end up having no functional use. If Valyrian Blood loads after CBB, then there will be things in the CBB files which won't take effect.

I will say though, this submod doesn't control who is able to tame dragons. What this submod does is take the base game's cultural tame and hatch modifiers and puts them into traits which can be passed down to others outside of Valyrian cultures. If you're looking to control who is able to tame, I would suggest Sin's Dragon Tamer Laws.
