couldn't you have hired someone to do the GFXs of the valyrian and different species? Honestly I'm ready to contribute and I don't think I'm the only one to have an optimal experience on CK 3 agot. They don't make money off the mod, as it would be against copyright and would make them liable to be sued if they did. So they can't ask for donations or anything of that sort. The work they do on this mod is done for free and in their own time. If someone with experience working with 3D were to volunteer and they were willing to take them onto the team, that would be fine. You have every right to spend your money as you wish, if you want to hire a 3d designer and then make the mods available for free it's completely legal.

Paying someone to commit a copyright infringement for you is illegal.

Naval combat would be something to make houses like the redwynes, velaryons, iron islanders etc. actually potent. Something to watch out for.
Also I think that impassable castles will finally make the vale a mountain fortress like its supposed to be.

I didn't see anything about that.

Seems like it will have more RP/character based content so that could be very good for this mod.
Kind of lame that CK3 came out before the last two books so we won't have those final two (?) bookmarks.
It would be neat if the base game used the megawar system for the HRE...

Will naval battles be added to the game? What about direct control of the battle "total war" style?

Just a quick update from me, I wont be taking the lead on any CK3 version of the AGoT version of the mod. As much as I'd like to I simply dont have the time to commit to such a major project these days. However the able PaxterRedwyne and Kuczaja are looking at putting something together and will no doubt have more information soon. As for the CK2 version of the mod I fully intend to keep the mod up to date with any future patches that are released by Paradox for the game, so that there will always be a relatively stable version of the mod available for CK2. Finally, thanks to everyone who has played the mod, posted lets plays on YouTube and joined in with the community here over the past 7 years, it has really made it worthwhile

I too will not be taking an active role in the CK3 version of this mod due to no longer having the necessary free time.
It's been a hell of a ride since 2012 with just Westeros and 1 bookmark, to adding Essos, then the far east, then White Walkers and then even going back before the Doom. It's a shame that we'll never get to add a bookmark for the end of the series, although with GRRM's writing pace that was always on the cards.
This mod wouldn't be possible without the community here providing suggestions, bug reports and testing feedback. The lack of attitude has always made this a really positive community and it's been a pleasure to be a part or it.
I'll still be around to answer questions and stuff when I have the time, but under Kuczaja and PaxterRedwyne the future of the mod is definitely in safe hands. I look forward to playing the CK3 version one day.

One good bit of news about CK3 is that, unlike Imperator Rome, it looks like there are multiple bookmarks confirmed, 867 AD and 1066 AD bookmarks have both been confirmed to exist. Animated portraits are doom for AGOT portraits. We do not have any 3D artist and never had one. This is one of the major problems with CK3 port. The second one is Megawar. This system is so complicated that it may take few months to recreate it. I hope that we will have some improvements that came to CK2 in latest DLCs like artifacts, duels and looting. It would make it much easier. One good thing about them using the same engine, or at least a very similar one, to Imperator Rome (the map looks like Imperators and the models of the characters seem to actually be the same type as the models from Imperator, just with the lower half of the body added) is that considering the incredible modding capabilities that are available for Imperator, which are also likely to also be featured in CK3, you'll probably have to ability to add scripted GUI's like in Imperator and HOI4. So you'll be able to add a whole new range of things that you probably couldn't in CK2's version of the mod. Even if artifacts for example aren't in CK3 vanilla (though it hasn't been confirmed if they are, however it seems dueling at least might be included based on one of the screenshots), you might still be able to add something similar with scripted GUI. I mean, people have added money and a entire money system using scripted GUI modding to HOI4 and one guy added a ledger to Imperator Rome before Paradox officially went ahead and added it to the game themselves. So you'll have a lot more possibilities of things to do this time.

I've played over 2700 hours of CK2 and every single one of them was in the AGoT mod. At your exceptionally reasonable rate of $0/hour, I feel like I got a pretty good deal out of that.
