Can you let me know if I'm doing something wrong? Unzip folder of AGOTcustomhouse into the mod directory. I then move the congen patch folders into the AGOTcustomhouse folder and .mod file into the general mod directory. Now I use the silver lion as my COA. So I copy the names for the coa_of_arms file "AGOTCustomNobleHouse" and flags file "c_agot_custom_house", copy the silver lion twice, rename them into the respective names for coa_of_arms and flags, and then I move them into those folders. From there I change the little edits, like house name, sword name, house words. Everytime I start up the game/mod the coa of arms is a weird black and blue color, without any design. This didn't occur without the congen patch applied. It happens regardless of whether or not congenital overhaul is activated or not. Do you have any idea what I'm doing wrong? If you did what I think you did, you overwrote the congen patch dynasty gfx, so what is happening is the one CoA is being stretched between the four houses using the .tga file. In short you fucked up. So, reapply the patch specifically the dynasty CoA gfx, then use gimp to open them, you'll see four CoAs overwrite the gold lion/silver dragon by opening the silver lion.tga as layers, then drag the gfx into position directly over the one you're replacing, then go to layers - use the "merge down" command then either overwrite or export as. If using the same name with the export function overwrite when prompted. Be sure to let me know if it worked. Good luck. I managed to do what you said. That helped partially! Thanks, that's more Doing that enable the dynamic coa. So now, if I started as Torrhen Stark, the e_north title displays the silver lion. However, the personal COA for my character screen doesn't change. It's still the weird shades of blue. A question. Am I supposed to do anything with the "unused" folders in the COA and flag folders? I feel like the very first time I got it working I did something in them. But deleting or leaving them hasn't changed anything.

I don't think you did anything with the .tga file in the gfx folder labelled coat_of_arms. otherwise it would display your silver lion your dynasty's coat of arms. The one you got working is the dynamic CoA flag. Re-read my post carefully and follow the steps and it should be fine.

I did what you said, at least I thought I did. I repeated the process and have gotten the same results every time. The steps I did: unzip the entire file somewhere else, pin the AGOTcustomhouse mod that I actually use, move everything in the congen patch folder to the AGOTcustomhouse mod folder, and overwrite all files. I move the congen dependency .mod file to the general mod folder and overwrite. I then replace the AGOT c_agot gfx files with the silver lions. Then I add the silver lion gfx over the image I am replacing the dynasties_congenital.tga inside the coat_of_arms subfolder . Here is an image of what my product looks like: imgur.com/a/zl1apyeDoes this look correct? I've replaced the dragon, the gold lion, and both at the same time, all to the same result of the weird shades of blue coa in game. If I do this process with the gold lion- which is already on the dynasties_congenital.tga file- the same thing still happens. To clarify, the patch goes in AGOT Custom noble house mod, right? That's what I've been doing and what I thought I read.

That's what I've been doing and what I thought I read. The .tga seems in order. The compat patch goes in AGOTCustomNobleHouse folder. 1) What other submods do you have active? 2) Do the other CoAs have the same issue or is it just the silver lion? (The reason I ask the is because when I first made the silver lion and added it to the same .tga as the gold lion it did something similar to what you describe, the way I made it was simply removing the yellow color from the gold flag and did a minor blue paint for the eyes, I fixed my issue by painting the outer areas of the silver lion flag a lighter blue than the gold lion flag has before adding it to the .tga for the CoAs.) 3) You say without editing the tga you still get the same issue? As in the moment you apply the patch and start the game you get the same error? (Without making any changes?) If you can post the folder you have of my mod so I can look through it and test what's wrong. (Ill run it as is with my game and see if I get the same error.)

If you can post the folder you have of my mod so I can look through it and test what's wrong. (Ill run it as is with my game and see if I get the same error.) 1. Although I normally run close to ten mods total, for the testing I've only been using the AGOT mod, Congen (which i've tested each time on and off), and the custom house mod. 2. All the custom houses are like this, just changes with color. The lions are different shades of blue. The white dragon one is different shades of black. 3. Yes, sir! If I start the game without adding the patch it works perfectly fine. Once I added the patch it starts to do this regardless of whether or not any other mod is active, regardless of the coa, even if I change literally nothing else besides the two coa files it will still happen. How can I upload the entire mod file? Unfamiliar with uploading files. I've put them on a google drive as the original version immediately after unzipping, the version after the congen patch with the Silver lion, and compressed versions of them both as well. And thank you so much for your help. Even if we can't figure it out, its been a blessing for you to respond quickly and try to help me figure this problem out. I've been scratching my head at this issue for so long to get nowhere. If I had to guess, it looks like only 6 files are overwritten from the congen patch, and three are the gfx files, so it almost has to be something that isn't a .tga at this point, right? Edit: Link to the google drive. Somehow almost forgot. drive.google.com/open?id=0BzgEUOOIQgq_UlRJaU5oWGlNN2M

I'm going to go ahead and nip the questions in the bud here regarding holy fury release. If the main AGOT mod isn't working with it this submod certainly won't. I'll update this mod when the following conditions have been met: 1) The main AGOT mod has been updated for holy fury. 2) Congenital Overhaul has been updated for holy fury. 3) I feel like updating this mod. Sincerely, Hyperion. "I made the bald man cry, into the turtle stew!" -Tyrion Lannister

I'm trying to add my house into the nicknames_for_landless file, but when I search for what you posted it looks completely different this is what I see:
#nicknames.3 - Targaryan nicknames. character_event = { id = nicknames.3 desc = "Penis" min_age = 16 capable_only = yes is_triggered_only = yes hide_window = yes trigger = { OR = { AND = { high_valyrian_dynasty_trigger = yes NOT = { dynasty = 52 } #velaryon } dynasty = 153 #Vance } has_nickname = no }

Hey, I'm back again. Stopped playing for a while and I realized why. After fixing all those other issues, I've come into a new issue. I haven't changed anything since last time either.
Two things are wrong that work perfectly fine when the mod is turned off. First, when someone is crowned an empire level title, such as the Iron Throne, Emperor of New Valyria, King in the North, etc, the title isn't in the Larger, fancily written letters above the main section. It's not a big thing and rarely happens, so I don't care too much.
However, house words don't display. It's not just a custom house thing either, but any house with house words are simply blank when this mod is activated. It won't say "die" or anything like the normal houses without house words, there is just nothing. Neither of these problems persist with the mod deactivated. Do you have any idea what might be wrong?

Heh. If your mod file is the exact same as the one you uploaded the last time I think it either you've unknowingly received the Holy Fury update or have another mod activated that conflicts with this mod. Post your entire mod folder. I'm genuinely curious now. Because I've checked your previous upload and everything is in order.

Sorry, I've been busy. I've been distracted with work. Thank you for all your help as always. I have AGot Bloodlines Congenital Overhaul AGOT Nicknames +6 Join All the Wars More artifacts Wolflings for AGOT Personal Castle.
Before when I testing, it was still doing it when I deactivated all my mods, but I may have missed one. Now that I have a bit of time, I'm thinking it would have to be Nicknames+ or personal castle conflicting with it. I'm not an expert though.

Is there a decent tutorial or something available? Im completely new to modding this game. I edited some stuff as instructed with the text editor. But I dont have a decision when I start the game You probably didn't extract it properly or activate the mod in the mods tab on start up menu. The following folder and file have to be in the mod directory for it to work. 1) AGOT Custom Noble House (it's a folder) 2) AGOT Custom Noble House.mod (it's a file) As for tutorials, I'd check YouTube. I'd search say, ck2 mod install and activation.
