Hey! Quick question! Instead of using the lion picture you've provided above, how can I change it to use the Blackfyre's sigil? I hardly know how to mod CK2 files so any help will be appreciated! 11000 = { name="YourHouse" culture = high_valyrian coat_of_arms = { template = 0 layer = { texture = 10 texture_internal = 32 emblem = 0 color = 0 color = 0 color = 0 } } used_for_random = no can_appear = no }
Change the dynasty file in the my mod to the following and for the dynamic CoA flag, go into flags in the AGOT main mod and copy and rename " d_daemon_blackfyres_host " to " c_agot_custom_house " then paste/overwrite it into the AGOT Custom Noble House flag folder, OR go into dynamic_coa_effects file and change c_agot_custom_house into d_daemon_blackfyres_host, and you should start flying the Blackfyre sigil.
if = { limit = { holder_scope = { dynasty = 11000 } } set_coa = c_agot_custom_house #AGOTCustomNobleHouse }
Change above bold underlined to the following:
if = { limit = { holder_scope = { dynasty = 11000 } } set_coa = d_daemon_blackfyres_host #AGOTCustomNobleHouse }
Good luck.
Instead of using the Blackfyre sigil, I went with one of the cadet dynasty flags I found and made it my c_agot_custom_house.tga & the AGOTCustomHouse.tga using GIMP. What I need help with now is how can the picture I used for the c_agot_custom_house & the AGOTCustomHouse as my actual sigil for my character? You know how the Targaryens' house sigil matches Dragonstone and anyone born in that dynasty (i.e: Aenar the Exile, Visenya Targaryen etc.)? How can I do that? I use Congenital Overhaul and did the thing where you changed the 22 to the 23 so it would be compatible. Because when I fire the event and receive the ancestral armor, the Valyrian artifact, and the new CoA, my actual house sigil is one of the base game patterns and I cant find the same picture. I was going to try giving myself the 'House Customizer' trait and just giving myself a cadet dynasty but I think that'll mess up what I've set up with your mod. Sorry for the reply again but I'm really confused and need a lil bit more help.

The original version of this mod overwrites or is overwritten when Congen overhaul is active. Meaning you won't have house words or a high valyrian dynasty flag. To keep what you've done already make copies of your gfx files and localization files then update. Once you update as instructed in the notes: open the new CoA tga files in the updated mod there will be 4 instead of 1, then open your tga files as layers and overwrite the dragon/lion flag by dragging and aligning the flag. You might have to export your flag as a png/jpeg/jpg file before being able to open it as layers. If you do it this way, you'll have your cake and eat it too.

So this is just a stupid idea that hit me earlier, with all the courtier recruitment options wouldn't it be possible to use those generate the player character as a vassal utilising them? I realise it's kind of a moot thing with the ruler designer but struck me as an interesting thought, pick a kingdom as normal and then when you run the event you customise a ruler to switch to.
Could have some options like: "One of my vassals has impressed me as of late so I've decided to award them lordship over part of my domain." Followed by options for the origin of the vassal in question (basically so you wouldn't be shoehorned into being from the same area, for example being a Reachman serving the Starks), then set their faith and possibly a few other details. Then it adds a new city/castle/etc to be the lord of and changes the player to that somehow (possibly using the abdicate code somehow to switch without killing a character so event can still trigger?).
Couple of things I'd imagine it'd have to include would be friendship with your lord and some kind of event for independence to split to split off as a small country with them as your liege lord (which they might hand off to their liege).

I suggest Sinstar87's SinRealms mod for an attempt at getting what you're looking for. Create your own realm then swear fealty to a lord a higher rank than you. As for the different regions courtier thing, it gave me an idea to add an option for adding a loyalist dynasty. Sort of like having a family of Howland Reeds to your Ned. Though I'll probably just make them a set name and sigil with house words, with an option to have them as various cultures (Reachman, Stormlander etc.) as well as religions, to minimize an already exhaustive DIY mod. I'm thinking Rudolf of house Hanover he'll have a scorpion for his sigil and his words will be "Eyes of the Tiger".

That sort of works but I was sort of more leaning towards, adding a new province with it... Guess I'd actually need to edit the map to do so. As for the loyalists, personally I'd just set it to use the Bastard surnames or leave them unnamed (maybe a small chance to be added to an existing bloodline with no claim).
As for the realm thing, I was more thinking of a landed vassal (city/castle/temple). As they don't show up at character/country selection for AGOT you can't drop into them to have them form their own realm, which is a pity as that'd work great for custom houses without the need to replace someone.

The closest thing to a map edit I've done is get blackninja's colonize valyria running for myself. Not really interested in adding anything either. Interest is mostly the reason I started this mod or mod in general. I suggest taking a look at one of the mods that alters the map, like colonizable valyria by erbkaiser for a reference on how to make new lands. Shoot 'em a line, seems like he gets back to people better than I do.
I see. You don't want to replace anyone, well then I could have the loyalist idea be its separate decision or include it in the main decision as an option to create them (to avoid the decision hanging there bloating an already long list of decisions), then leaving it up to the player to do as they will with them. (Give them whichever barony you choose lol.)
As it stands the things that I'm going to add in the next update are the following: (for now, more if I come up with anything else)
1. Dynastic nickname inclusion probably make it standalone so there is no overwriting (by suggestion, blank/placeholder for Custom Dynasty and my sad attempts for Loyalist Dynasty i'm doubling down on the Scorpion motif) 2. Including Custom Dynasty's into the dragon taming code for valyrian version only (theres some code that has targs and I think blackfyres more likely to tame dragons, I plan on adding Custom Dynasty to the list) 3. A Loyalist Dynasty with: house words, Dynamic CoA, customizable religion/culture through decision (including making them valyrian), and possibly a valy steel sword.

Sounds like high valyrian culling. Turn the game rule on or off which ever stops/disables it. Sorry can't be more help, I haven't played as a high valyrian since version 1.4.1. Thenns FTW!

I mean it changes the culture of my children when i play with your mod and it wont let me marry my children together Ok, so a few questions to clarify your situation: 1) Did you download the valyrian version of this mod? 2) Are you using congenital overhaul? If so did you apply the patch included in the DL? 3) Do you have a mod that alters scripted triggers? 4) If you aren't using congen then is your child/ren a part of you dynasty? Because I added the custom dynasty to divine blood dynasty trigger, meaning if you deny the legitimacy of your bastard offspring they take the mothers dynasty, they aren't part of your dynasty it probably won't work. High valyrian culling turns your HV cultured courtiers to westerosi valyrian culture if you don't want this switch the rule off. But this wouldn't stop your pseudo targ family from being a divine blood dynasty, so most likely you have another mod that alters scripted triggers, or you didn't apply the congen patch while using congenital overhaul.

(Though I can't account for the changes made by the newest update, as I haven't updated yet ) AGOTCustomNobleHouse_dynasty.txt: 11000 = { name="YourHouse" culture = high_valyrian divine_blood=yes <---------- ADD THIS LINE coat_of_arms = { template = 0 layer = { texture = 22 texture_internal = 0 emblem = 0 color = 0 color = 0 color = 0 } } used_for_random = no can_appear = no } Total noob mistake lol.

On a bonus, it's not too long to update this to be compatible with the latest version. Took me about 10-15 minutes to update it and insert compatibility with Congenital Overhaul.
