Does the game seem like it would be compatible with the GOT/ASOIAF setting? Speaking as someone who hasn't done any Paradox modding, but has read the dev diaries... It sounds like there are a lot of tweaks to how the game works that will make modding in general easier; however, various presentation enhancements make overhaul mods like this far more labor-intensive. The elephant in the room is that dragons will probably need to be something other than characters, unless someone wants to build a suite of dragon models, rigs, deformation bone thingies*, textures, animations... There are also a couple of features in CK2 expansions which were helpful to the mod, like artifacts, which haven't made it into CK3 yet. But that only causes problems that the modders solved way back when. Aside from that, the only obvious issue is that they'll need to redo the map, or at the very least divide up the counties into baronies (from Jade to Sunset Sea). Oh, and obviously there's not much in the old mod that can be ported into CK3. Some event text can probably be copy-pasted, and they shouldn't need to re-research the familial relationships between every lord in Westeros, but that's about it. TL;DR: There's nothing stopping a CK3 ASoIaF mod, but there's plenty impeding it. *Add "3D modeling/animation" to the list of things I know just enough about to recognize my own ignorance...

I know on one of the sponsored streams the day before launch one of the streamers said he knew for a fact the AGOT team had pre-access to the game before launch so work is underway!

I think a lot of the features will simply be tedious. Playing around with the files, it looks quite easy to mod and they wont have to do as many work arounds for things. The only thing I see might be character models (but Paradox did state a Character Creator was coming, so that will make that a whole lot easier) and modding in Dragons. I do 3D design for work, and it can be a lot of work trying to get a 3D model for dragons. It can surely be done, I just see it taking a bit of time. I do so look forward to seeing the progress though.

I'm definitely waiting for the 3D dragon portrait and in general I'm curious what modders(not only AGOT) will do with characters, for me now they looks a bit "cartoon style"

To be fair I would rather it look "cartoon" style. Not a fan of too realistic looking, especially when you end up seducing sisters and killing babies

To be fair I would rather it look "cartoon" style. Not a fan of too realistic looking, especially when you end up seducing sisters and killing babies That's one of the things I like about CK3's aesthetics. It's like the difference between Civ 6 and Civ 4—it's not trying quite so hard to have realistic graphics, it's stylized a bit to fit a specific tone. (And stylization endures the test of time better than cutting-edge "realism".) CK3 is obviously less extreme in its characters' stylization, but the parallel is still there.

Personally i think that the actual portraits are pretty realistic. The little bit of cartoonish style remove the disturbing side of realism.

Are there plans to set up a CK3 section here, or somewhere else?

I feel sorry for those who like playing Ironborn (like me). No more ship management. Everyone can sail. Good luck on your war against the Seven Kingdoms, who now has an infinite amount of ships that can just go across from wherever they may feel like (as long as it's coastal). EDIT: On a more important note, can the portraits have a penis gene? I want to inherit Tormund's.
