This is an auto education mod that uses variables to determine a child's guardian. Best used with vanilla AI education game rule setting. For more detailed information and instructions on how to use the manual education/guardian features, go here: Meta AI Education by BLKCandy
I also added a decision under the decision menu to set all your courtiers (not other rulers considered to be in your court, characters under the age of 16, or those in prison) and yourself to manual guardian. There is a decision to reverse this as well. This effectively works as a mass toggle. Anytime a new courtier comes to your court or a child turns 16 you will either have to use the targeted decision on them or redo the mass decision.
Compatible with: AGOT 2.0/2.1/2.2
Credits:
BLKCandy for his original mod (I tried to get a hold of him to ask permission and didn't get a response. If he asks me to remove this, I will.) AGOT Dev Team: For the main AGOT mod SinStar87: For the willingness to help and answer questions as I was learning modding
mosample: For the mass decision idea gotchristian: For permission to include his defines edit for the six wards variant bluenocho: For the stimulation of the idea to add Conclave conditions for when it's active

Lovely!thanks for updating/creating another needed mod Azrael. PS, if i use it with AGOT education rule, will it break the mod? or make it less effective?

I could be wrong, but I don't think it would break it. The AGOT education rule just uses the child's learning stat to determine the chances of their education trait instead of the education trait of the guardian.

Is this a direct port or did you make the original meta education work for newer versions of CK2? AFAIK the original mod hasn't been updated since last year.

I made some personal tweaks to variables/traits, did some things for AGOT (make it so children don't get learning focus if they are of a religion in Westeros and added fighter traits to guardian calculations for example), and just did some fixes.
Speaking of fixes, I had noticed sometimes a character would get a ward even with manual guardian set, so I went through the files and added the missing, relative conditions to make it not so. Download link has been updated.

Good work man! Just updated to the new version and using this, phew this removes all the education headaches the AI causes.

It does help a lot. I've been a fan of the original mod BLKCandy created ever since I discovered it and it's been a must-use mod for me since. Sadly, there wasn't a AGOT version, so I ended up initially editing the original for personal use. Before doing so, whenever I played AGOT, I always missed having it.

I don't see the game rule for Vanilla education. Am I crazy? I have all the dlcs...

Submod updated; I added some conditions to hopefully keep dragons from receiving the heritage or faith focuses.

Hey man, great mod. Any chance of being able to get a new option to make your whole court be manual guardian? as i find my court filling up from the A.I sending their kids to someone in my court I'll look into it and see what I can do. For now I would just go through your court, right-click their portraits, and set them to manual with the single-target decision while doing so each time a new person comes to your court. Also, make sure your message alerts are set to tell you when a new person arrives at your court.
