Hey folks, just a few ideas that came to mind when I was on my lunch break today.
Valyrian Steel has a permanent dynastic claim and allows for casus belli.
Artifacts stolen/ thieved now incurs a general opinion thief modifier on top of a slightly reduced Stole My X. Same goes for unpaid debts (looking at you Mister Roger Reyne). Doesn't occur for rightful revocation (e.g. taking Blackfyre back from Bittersteel as a Targaryen... possibly stealing an already stolen sword?)/ punishment (crimes suitably fitting for revocation, not simply for plotting)
Add a way for Valyrian Steel to be carried by the most maritally-inclined dynasty members (like Dark Sister, Dawn and IIRC Lady Forlorn). On top of this an event chain for a character to 'announce their intent' and begin training hard to claim such a sword
Add crafting options for regional armour and subsequently have the portraits 'equip' it when given command of an army. E.g. A Northman Lord can decide, when making armour for himself, to craft it in the style of the Stormlands or a Westerlander Lord deciding to craft the Valyrian-style armour. Increase the cost for non-regional armour, e.g. if a Northman Lord decides to craft Stormlander armour, he has to pay an increased amount. Bonus with this if the armour's artifact portrait resembles their original portrait look and isn't just generic.
Increase imprisonable offences by 3: kinslaying, killing a royal family, tyranny over... say... 20+? imprisonable by Lord/ Kings of higher station
Increase likelihood of deposing factions to form over independence if the King is a moron... looking at you Aerys II...
This is possibly my most interesting one... I don't know if it is at all possible but I'd like to see options when it comes to how my levies 'act' when at war and what I mean by that is adding buttons for 'stance' and 'speed'. Stance has three options- defensive, rounded, aggressive... defensive and aggressive both adding an additional 10% bonus to their respective morale stance whilst detracting from their opposite. The speed button is fairly similar... slow (-10% speed, +10% morale), regular, fast (+10% speed, -10% morale).
Add peasant unrest in counties that armies pass through to simulate unruly levies harassing smallfolk and eating the land bare. The larger the army, the greater the unrest after they've passed through. If possible, have this coincide with traits too... someone like Eddard Stark is not going to stand by while his men behave as Tywin Lannisters' are wont to do.
