No I meant that in the base mod if you pick basically any house that aren't lord paramounts or a cadet branch (like all the reach houses are) their history will start in Aegon's Conquest, ie the first Umber in the history files is born in 7961, the first Wyl in 7970, the first Mormont in 7969, I think that's just technical limitations, saving 8000 years of history would probably take a lot of computer power, and history is fairly sparse for it as well, I'm fairly certain all of the lords from the earlier start dates are invented.

The minor houses from the North should for the most part all be there as they are ancient First Men houses. Most of the minor houses in the south simply don't exist in the earliest time periods.
Okay, I suppose that's fair for the southern houses, but even in the North, the only houses that exist are the High Lords, like the Umbers etc. the Crannogmen houses, Hill clansmen and the Skagosi. Cerwyns. Houses like the Hornwoods, Forresters etc. are nowhere to be found.
All the Northern houses should exist in all the submod bookmarks. The Hill Clansmen and Crannogmen houses are definitely in there and I've seen posts before of people playing Forresters in the Andal Invasion. The Hornwoods may not be around in all the bookmarks because the Boltons or the Greystarks own their lands for most of that time I believe.

Out of interest is there a reason for most houses in the main mod not having any history before Aegon's conquest? Could the history that exists in the submods be imported for modding purposes or would there likely be conflicts?
That's not possible to do, and would serve no purpose even if it was.

What do you mean by impossible? I wanted to add a few generations of ancestors for a few houses for my bloodlines submod, to have a more distant founder, would that still probably be fine or are their name ids probably already being used in the main mod?

You can add a few generations in yourself no problem. You can't just take character history from the submods and add them to the main mod though. The submod databases are 95% duplicates of the main mod, with dates changes and canon characters removed or added. So they cannot be formed into a single continuous timeline.

Huh, the issue must be on my end somewhere then, I'll try disabling submods and whatever and see if I can find what I'm doing wrong. EDIT: There's no issues in the Valyrian Freehold and Bleeding years submods, but anything earlier than that and there's nothing. I don't know if the characters exist, but there no history for the titles beyond the fact that they're sworn to Winterfell/Dreadfort, so they just get generated dynasties named after the castles. The only people that exist are the High Lords, and the minor Lords of the subcultures, crannog etc.

Any chance we'll ever see Westeros Only be compatible with the official bookmarks?

Notably the lack of the Ryders/Ryswells, Cerwyns, Tallharts, etc. I always chalked it up simply to the possibility of those houses not existing yet in the earliest/earlier bookmarks. Now if there was a way to CREATE them in-game either through raising to nobility or cadet branching that'd create some interesting scenarios.... buttttttt short version is I've seen the same thing you have with a bunch of them missing.

Much appreciated Toccs. Like I said I honestly wasn't sure how far back some of the lesser houses went back. Only thing that irritated me was how meh the generic coat of arms are, especially when it's like 50/50 that either the name will exist elsewhere or suck... or the arms/colors on the arms will suck when generically generated.
