Hello i just wanted to ask if these items were intended to be overpowered as for example the bull's head helm in the preview show it has a plus 10 to personal combat skill more than a formidable fighter with a valyrian steel sword

Valyrian Steel Swords give +20 combat modifier I believe. And if I recall correctly, the second level of armor gives +10 so the helmets protection is not highly over done. Also, something to consider for the list of possible artifacts is the valyrian steel link. I suggest a activation of the mystic and maester traits being needed, and it gives a negative loss of opinion with maesters and a bonus to learning. valyrian_link.tga (28.35 KB)here is a image if you want to use it.

All of my artifact's stats are based off artifacts already in the game to help keep them balanced. It sounds like you are either playing an older version of the mod or have installed it wrong. Also, something to consider for the list of possible artifacts is the valyrian steel link. I suggest a activation of the mystic and maester traits being needed, and it gives a negative loss of opinion with maesters and a bonus to learning. here is a image if you want to use it. I have actually been toying around with chain links, masks and scepters for the maesters. Those requirements/stats sound good and that image looks good too, I'll definitely add it in next update.

I figure some characters in the series are overpowered anyway so it makes sense. I don't imagine any characters I make would survive a bout with the Clegane boys, for example, unless I go seriously overboard.

From the wiki. Archmaesters possess a ring, a rod, and a mask of the material that represents their field of mastery. For example, the archmaster of healing has a ring, rod, and mask of silver, the archmaester of economics a ring, rod, and mask of yellow gold, and the archmaester of magic a ring, rod and mask of Valyrian steel.
So maybe some Masks and rods and rings?

Yeah, I've been messing around with them but it would require a lot of scripting, new archmaesters would either need to inherit their effects or the previous archmaesters effects are destroyed on death and generated on a new one. I'm not sure it would be worth it, especially considering archmaesters are unplayable and aside from Marwyn will never be in your court. I'm definitely adding in the Valyrian Steel Link for Luwin and Marwyn though.

Have you thought about adding Renly's stag armour that Garlan wears after his death?

Have you thought about adding Renly's stag armour that Garlan wears after his death? Yeah, it's on my list. I have 8 other armors I'm working on as well but I'm still trying to get a somewhat uniformed look for all of them. Don't expect them too soon though, they will probably end up being the last batch of artifacts I add to this mod.

No, sorry. I probably won't make a patch for it either, I only included a patch for the Personal Arms mod because I always use it. If someone else chooses to make one though I would definitely include it in the download.

A cool artifact would be the Kraken horn the Celtigars owned.

I said adding new armors would be one of the last things I would do with this mod but I realized they've been my most requested artifact types so I decided I will give the people what they want. Here's a sample of some of the armors I plan to include in the next update which you can expect to be released in the next few days. I still need to do a few touch ups, hope you guys like them: The Blackfish - Lord of Bones - Loras - The Mountain - Renly - Rhaegar:

Renly's in particular is spectacular, could you do something similar for Robert but in more traditional Baratheon colours, as Ned thinks in GOT "Fifteen years past, when they had ridden forth to win a throne, the Lord of Storm's End had been clean-shaven, clear-eyed, and muscled like a maiden's fantasy. Six and a half feet tall, he towered over lesser men, and when he donned his armor and the great antlered helmet of his House, he became a veritable giant." also are you thinking of adding Jaime'sg golden armour?
