Is it just me or is it super easy to beat the white walkers as Jon Snow? Got 100% war score v fast & they surrendered.

Seems to me they need more heavy troops or some special unit. Something to simulate the fact that without fire you can't easily kill a wight.

it's partially related to some bug colonizing all castles in very quick time, giving the NW an overabundance of troops. By the time they had reached the wall, I had full restored the castles without to invest a single penny. Thus it's quite easy for the player to lure them in a defensive battle and beat them back, where if wad they by far lack the soldier to be able to withstand, and will usually only hold if the realm sorts it's wars very fast and will rush to aid.

I think you may be onto something. For some reason I always see all NW castles being restored after the Wall has fallen once, be it by Wildlings or Wights, and the next time they are too powerful to fall again. Maybe (most of) the ruined castles should be deleted and replaced with special buildings in the remaining castles instead.

I just find them too easy to defeat in battle.

I've also noticed that if the Nights Watch defeats Mance while he is still battling the White Walkers, they disappear after he surrenders

Guys try to defeat white walker in the other side of map. In the 5 forts playing as new valyria and with 20 dragons i almost lost. They spawn 20k units after a few months each. So, that with hard winter modifier only can mantain 3k troops on these lands. And the war can not end if they hold any countie. And 100 years later of the start date the garnison of one of the forts was 10k troops. So, how do you siege a 10k troops countie without dragons and only can mantain 3k troops on land?
Stop say that is easy. You are playing in the easy mode.

Last time I played as Jon Snow and fought against the White Walkers I came pretty close to losing actually... -67% war score or something like that before I was able to pull out a merc (all my mercs are modded to be in the 10k range of size) purchase to secure a win. It also really didn't help that Winterfell instantly became a frozen tundra and stolen from me extremely early in the war. Moat Cailin had nothing built their ><
