This is a simple mod that does a few things: -Characters that are Faith of the Seven Knights can train their wards once a year -Characters that AREN'T Faith of the Seven can also train their wards once a year if they either have 10 or more martial or have a martial education (or duelist trait) -Each training session has a chance to raise the child's martial stat and give them traits -Females can be trained if their guardian is of their dynasty -Not every training session will be successful. The guardian or the ward being stressed or injured will influence the outcome -Squires that perform well on the battlefield can be knighted by you (you have to lead an army in battle while being their guardian) -There are a few other events you'll discover as you play I'm aware that there sort of already exists a 'train ward' option in the AGOT mod but it fails more often than not and you're honestly better off not using it, which is why I made this mod. This feature was originally part of my Mixed Ethnicities Mod but I removed it and made it a standalone. There should be NO compatibility issues with any other mods. DOWNLOAD LINK

The Squire trait should probably be removed when a character is knighted, right? I've had the event where a character is knighted after a battle a few times and the Squire trait remains on the character every time.
Additionally, maybe it should be harder to get knighted as a female character since it's not exactly something that happens in-universe? (I'm not 100% if this is an event that this specific mod adds in, but I've never seen it before and since installing this mod have had it happen in just about every playthrough I've done)

I went ahead and fixed that today. Also, the knight event should only fire for females now if they are 20+ martial. You may redownload it now

Can this submod be tweaked to work in vanilla ck2 or is it AGOT only? This mod is for AGOT but I can easily make a version for vanilla ck2. I will leave a link to it on the bottom of the first post in about an hour

No problem. The link is up now Tested it and it runs pretty well in vanilla. Defiantly going to mainstay for future playthroughs. Note: I found that if I had an adult character with the squire trait and bought a knighthood I got both traits. I think this can be fixed by adding 'remove_trait = squire' to 'effect = { add_trait = knight' for the 'buy_knighthood = {' decision.

It's a small detail, but would it make more sense for training to give the brawny trait instead? Strong is hereditary, not normally gained through training.

Great mod. Btw, I don't really mind but there's a glitch that allows you to train your squire/ward as long as you want if you don't press the pop up and continue
