Can we add some event that allows you to adopt the divine blood practice for your dynasty if you have one of the Valyrian cultures and are the head of your family? I just find it lacking when I find myself unable to go full inbreeding mode when playing as the Daynes or some other pseduo-proto Valyrian dynasty, without being forced to adopt the ancient valyrian religion.
Suggestion:Add an event that allows the head of a valyrian dynasty to adopt divine blood.

Canon rules dictate that only the Targaryens practiced incest, there are no precedents for Velaryons or Celtigars marrying bothers and sisters. This could, however, apply in case they ever assume control over the Iron Throne

This could, however, apply in case they ever assume control over the Iron Throne Canon dictates that Valyrians in general practiced incest, and the fact that the Velaryons and the Celtigars weren't underlined as the practitioners of the said practice, doesn't necessarily mean that they didn't practice it. Even if we assume that they didn't, one could still argue that they abandoned the practice after adopting the faith of the seven (which explicitly looked down on inbreeding) and that such a decision was a matter of personal choice. So i don't see why an orthodox valyrian house couldn't mimic the Targs and maintain the practice.

I thought it was specifically the dragonlords known for incest, for the same reason as historical divine marriage of "Preserving the strength of the bloodline from outside corruption" and what have you. This refering to the magical abilities of the dragonlords and their innate ability to handle dragons.
That said, I do prefer the zoroastian incest mechanics used for the targs over other ones, as historically the inbred trait wasn't as common, and normally required a few gens of close inbreeding to get those deformities. *Cough* Charles *Cough*. As for stability of mind, that was always a bit more questionable when the gene pool thinned, but normally outright deformities infertility and such are rarer for the first gen or two. But past that it's a bit of a discussion in genetics of how distant is mostly safe that has varied opinions. But people have been working hard on finding how far removed your cousin needs to be to have no inbreeding risks *nods*
