Hi all,
Occasional lurker and first-time poster here. Apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere before, but an hour of searches hasn't turned up any concrete fixes that I saw.
Essentially, I found written into the artifact text file some lines regarding crowns for the Daynes, Hightowers, etc. and thought they would make for really interesting playthroughs. However, when adding those artifacts via the console (I didn't know the first place to start looking if an event indeed existed to forge them), my characters immediately displayed other recognizable crowns like those of Aegon I, his descendents and on one occasion what I believe was the crown of the River Kings. The proper prestige and opinion effects of the intended crowns seem perfectly in place, and they appear correctly in my inventory when added - where I'm stuck is getting them to render correctly in the portrait. I read some musings on Reddit that perhaps a character's education path somehow determines which crown image is displayed, though some experimentation with the console didn't seem to confirm that with any noticable changes.
I have almost no experience modding but after some preliminary searches I got the impression that the artifacts I'm looking for are indeed distinct from sub-mods such as Congenital Overhaul, so hopefully I'm on the right track with 'vanilla' AGoT as a standalone (I'm not running any other submods aside from the Valyrian Sword Standalone from Congenital Overhaul, though the issue in question pre-dates my use of it). I was able to find the GFX files for 'specialcrowns' and more specifically 'specialcrownsb' where there appear to be the proper sprites/images for each artifact, and the text files of the artifacts seem to have what I would assume are the correct pathways/references listed (I have not edited them in any way).
If anyone out there could offer some basic guidance on how I might check and, if possible, edit these crown artifacts so that they are drawing from the correct images for each portrait I would be incredibly grateful.
Cheers,
Aetare
