Hey People, quick question:
Why do the Ironborn get dishonourable when killing people while reaving or at war rather than capturing them? As far as i'm aware it should be the opposite, right? Shouldn't the Ironborn get benefits and prestige from killing and/or being nasty to non-Ironborn? So wondering if there was anything in the mod I could modify to reflect the nature of the Ironborn better in this regard or if there was a sub-mod already with that in mind.
Thanks in advance.

Other cultures continue to view them as dishonorable, so trait is necessary, unless you change that opinion based on culture. Northerners, riverlanders, reachman and westerlanders hate ironborns a lot.

Not 100% sure if this will work, but this should be all you'll need to do to get the desired effect: - Locate the dishonorable_traits.txt file in the common\traits folder of your installation of A Game of Thrones and open it with any text editor. As always, you should make a back-up just in case things go wrong!
- Looking at the first entry (dishonorable1), you'll notice the line that says general_opinion = -10.
- Underneath this, add the lines pirate_opinion = 10, corsair_opinion = 10 and drowned_god_opinion = 10 (or drowned_god_group_opinion if you want it to also apply to the Reformed Drowned God religion, ironborn_opinion if you instead want it specific to the Ironborn culture).
[/code] [li]While it's pretty self-explanatory, this will just offset the general opinion malus and make it so they don't lose opinion of you. If you want Pirates and Ironborn to like you more for being a dishonourable piece of scum, make sure the number is higher than the negative counterpart of the general opinion modifier (e.g. If general opinion is -10, a positive modifier of above 10 is required to increase their opinion).[/li] [li]Do this for every single trait in the file, making sure to scale up/down the opinion modifier accordingly![/li] [li]I would recommend not adding these lines to any of the twenty tyrant traits or the tyrannical_stain trait because, let's face it, even Pirates and Ironborn don't like it when their ruler treats them like crap. It would make raiders a bit too OP.[/li] [/ul] Hope this helps!
