My wife has more then double the diplomacy of anyone else in my court so i really want to make her my master of laws. And it would be nice if i could just make women councillors whenever i want, so id like to find either a mod that is compatible with agot or a way to edit the files to make it possible. All the mods ive found are either incompatible with AGOT or outdated, so if anyone knows of one that works with the current version lmk. Also ive been having a hard time finding any working methods for editting the files, most of it is for vanilla ck2 and nothing ive found has worked. Believe me, ive looked everywhere for this, i cant seem to find anything specific to this mod. And there is the whole "reform a religion and allow equality" but that isnt gonna work for me and my current game.

I think it's tied to the laws and/or culture. But separately, you don't want to have your wife on the council. Your wife already benefits your state attributes (hover over the number in parenthesis next to your own stats)--if you put her on the council, the game will not allow you to double dip and get attributes from your wife as a wife AND as a councilor. IMO, it's wasting the spot, but check out what the state attributes do at the below link and decide for yourself! ck2.paradoxwikis.com/Attributes

Fair point, it looks like she might be more useful not on the council. Id still like there to be a way to appoint female councillors though, I always invest heavily in my children's education so at some point i will probably want them on my council. So if anyone knows how to mod the files to allow for this id still appreciate it

Change laws to allow women to be in direct line. So oldest child not oldest male child. That makes them eligible for the other council spots instead of just spymaster and treasurer.

I have cognatic succession enabled, it allows for female hands of the king and admirals but not masters of coin or masters of law

Nvm that last comment, apparently one of my other mods has it's own scripted_triggers file that i wasnt aware of that was overriding the ones I knew of, so that probably explains why none of my file editting did anything.
