Whenever a (random) successful training event (combat_trait.2) happens, it is still possible to force train (decision) your child. If you're successful at the force training, the training event will further increase the combat ability of the child.
IIRC, It used to be that the combat ability of the child was stored somewhere and a successful force training of the child during event combat_trait.2 would not change the final combat ability of the child after dismissing the event pop up.
The consequence is that it's much easier to get formidable fighters (which is probably not intended):
- Always have 3+ combat ability rulers
- Force train children you educate to level 2 ASAP
- Stall the force training until the combat_trait.2 event occurs, then force train them during the event hoping for a successful training (=> level 3) and dismiss the event (=> level 4)
- Because the combat_trait.2 event only happens during the education period (so until 16 years old) and because you can still force train a child after his/her education is finished (from 16yo to 20yo), it's very unlikely that you will end with heirs with less than tier 3 combat ability.
I think there should some kind of protection in place to prevent force training when the combat_trait.2 event fires -- something akin to what has been done to fix the slave double sale exploit (it used to be that when a slave randomly came to your court, you could sell him with a decision and sell him again with the event pop up, but that's all fixed now thanks to a "slave action taking place" variable of some sort).

- I use 3 mods but I don't believe they have an impact on this bug, namely: "AGOT Holdings+", "AGOT Ghiscari Wars", "AGOTmusic".
