Good afternoon.
I am playing a Targeryan game in an alternative timeline where Daenyris chose to conquer the Far East with the Guildsman of the Thirteen as her husband instead. In the centuries since, I conquered Astapor (my first, as Daenyris), then Qarth, then Moraq, then Leng, and then I was elected King of Jinxiang. One of my vassals was a Liberator and he conquered Asshai. Using a Dragon Conquest, I conquered the final remnants of the Sunset Empire and then conquered the Trident, which only held four or five provinces.
Astapor, Leng, and Moraq began to De Jure Drift into my newborn empire. However, at one point, these kingdoms, without warning, suddenly became de jure vassals of the Empire of Qaarth! That empire does not exist and it CERTAINLY wasn't done in one hundred years' time!
That's when stuff got crazy. In my next Mega War, Leng and Moraq broke free as intended, and then agreed to support me in my wars. They did and we won, but during the process, both Moraq and Leng were targetted by different Slave Raids launched from Yin. That means they couldn't rejoin me. Asshai did well, as should be obvious.
I joined and fought both of the Slave Raids, and I won. At last, my empire was in total peace. That's when I was shocked to see that Leng and Moraq did not, and could not, rejoin the Empire of Astapor! (Yet, Asshai rejoined immediately!) Clicking on each glitched king, I found that none of them were in any kind of war, though one was being raided. I had the option to declare war on them, so I took "Dragon Conquest" as my casus belli and was informed, instantly, that the war was invalid. I tried this on both, and was allowed to do so multiple times. Eventually, the ability to declare war disappeared completely from the UI.
This is a nightmare for me because I had enough Holy Sites to reform the Lion of the Night Religion when Leng and Moraq were under my belt. I can't become Emperor of Qaarth either, because Moraq and Leng are inexplicably required for it. I am playing in Iron Man mode, which prevents me from winning this the easy way.
Am I going to have to use cheat codes (by writing temporary Decisions) to get my clay back? What is going on here?
