With the revelations in Fire and Blood about how the North is often viewed by the South, I decided to move the Old Gods of the North into the same religious group as the other Old Gods worshipers to represent their distance from the Seven. As a side benefit, I also fixed the known bug where reforming the Old Gods of the North prevents the opinion modifiers on the various skinchanger traits and effects from applying, as well as the one where the Wildling Sympathizer trait won't actually increase its holder's opinion of wildlings. I also added a couple of new features for wildlings. First, if you're a wildling or wildling sympathizer reforming an Old Gods religion, you can pick a wildling-specific doctrine that combines the ritual sacrifice, unrelenting, and animism doctrines and also grants the ability to join the wildling warrior lodge. Second, I altered the wildling warrior lodge restrictions so wildling sympathizers can join even if they're proud (done so Jon can join the lodge if he leaves the Watch). Here is the link. If I messed something up, please let me know. A version compatible with More Bloodlines is available here.

New features and fixes look interesting. Adding the sympathy_old_gods_religion trait in religion_traits.txt breaks save compatibility by changing the indexes of traits, you could avoid this by putting sympathy_old_gods_religion at the end of the zz_new_traits.txt file. Or perhaps safer, by leaving the religious group named as "wildling_religion" instead of changing it to "old_gods_religion" so you don't need a new trait at all (unsure how this affects other uses of wildling sympathy though). I see a few dangling references to wildling_religion in 00_religions.txt and (more bloodlines) skinchanger_traits.txt, which probably should be updated if you keep the renaming of groups. I get intermittent crashes when I looking in the reformation menu. May be specific to the situation, I am reforming as a Jon Snow that knows parentage, so it's a little unusual since I'm eligible for 3 special traditions: Valyrian, Faith of the Seven, and the Wildling traditions.

Is it compatible with 2.1 ?

Updated for 2.1. Loss of save-game compatibility is an unfortunate necessity. Cause of the reformation crash has not yet been isolated. The More Bloodlines file will be updated when More Bloodlines is.

My best guess: Some combination of reforms are incompatible, and the random crash is happening whenever the selected 4 options hit this edge case. Might have been caused by the 4 reformation doctrines mod tho.

There is a bug that generates your holy men as wildlings when you use the hire decision.

Another bug: this mod breaks the "Worship Ancestors" decision. It's use is originally limited to, among a few other options, the wildling_religion group but since this group no longer exists with this submod the decision becomes available to everyone.
A quick fix for this is going to the "decisions" folder of either the original AGOT mod or whichever official AGOT submod you are using, opening the "minor decisions" text file, finding the ancestor_worship decision and under its potential brackets switching religion_group = wildling_religion to:
religion = beyond_wall_old_gods religion = beyond_wall_old_gods_reformed religion = mountain_old_gods religion = thenn_rel
I noticed this when half the pious lords and ladies of the seven kingdoms were missing an eye or a hand. Was funny but immersion breaking.

I unfortunately had to stop using this mod since the newer updates to other mods like More Bloodlines (or any other mod that alters religions). This already had some bugs before but it seems to have gotten worse recently.

As far as I can tell, this mod doesn't fix the Opinion modifiers for reforming The Old Gods. My character was a Stark who was also a Greenseer and had a Direwolf following him, but after I reformed the religion those traits only applied a penalty to those following the reformed religion, and none of the bonuses applied anymore.
