Current Portrait: imgur.com/a/GtXdah2 (DNA: alafkzgfaav - Portrait: ff0qoo00000000cc0000000000000000000000) Proposed Portrait: imgur.com/a/hMHfzbs (DNA: bdfieimaade - Portrait: af0c0a00000000ea0000000000000000000000) Fan Art: imgur.com/a/J1EYykaWiki Description: According to semi-canonical sources, Aegon looked like a Targaryen, taking after his father, Rhaegar. The infant Aegon had fair hair. Rhaegar's Wiki Description: The beautiful Rhaegar had deep purple or indigo colored eyes. He had long, elegant fingers, and was taller than his younger brother, Viserys, would be in his adulthood. Rhaegar's hair was similar to the silver-blond of Viserys and their sister, Daenerys. Quote about Aegon's looks: "This beardless boy could have any maiden in the Seven Kingdoms, blue hair or no. Those eyes of his would melt them." - Tyrion No offence but the current Aegon VI portrait looks like a meth addict.

What's the problem, you used same properties and your quotes just state his eye and hair color.

I felt like the version I made was a good compromise between the different fan art interpretations of Aegon and the official artwork of Rhaegar. I also think it's just more pleasing to the eyes. For someone with the attractive trait, the current portrait of Aegon is kind of ugly, and it doesn't look like it's based on any fanart of Aegon or official artwork of Rhaegar.

Why should we base it upon fanart? Fanarts are by definition fanmade, they do not prove anything.

Always thinked the High Valyrian one doesn't really fit him with his mother being a Martell and all that, yes he takes after his father hair and eyes, but my mental image was of him having a skin tone as a blend of both, not as olive as the Martells, but not pale as most Targaryens, if that makes any sense? Like if the roles where reversed, for example if Daenerys Martell delivered a full loking Targaryen Baby, in Maron place i would totally question if i was the dad. Can't wait to Arianne meet him xD Btw, i really like this fanart of Griff by naomimakesart with that in mind. Yeah, proves nothing, but until Arianne get to the guy and we have a description of the dude by a POV that is not a drunk dwarf or a knight that longs so much for Rhaegar that just see Aegon as a copy paste i guess we don't have much but supositions. Also tried my hand in making a custom portrait to him, goddam i wished CK2 had a skin tone option. Tried to make the dude look more young than the current one, but with not much changes. Here the result: Well, hope i have contributed to the discussion

Well, hope i have contributed to the discussion Your mental image also doesn't prove anything. Martin all the time shows that he isn't the best in genetics, with houses having same features for thousands of years, without single exception in it. Hence literally every Lannister has golden hair and green eyes(excluding Tyrion the dwarf), even among Lannisters of Lannisport split from main line like eight thousands years ago. Unless there is some quote in the books or statement from Martin I don't see change in Aegon's portrait to be likely, silver hair and purple eyes doesn't say much about how his face look like.

I'm of an agreement that Aegon's dna should be tweaked some.
