Hey
this one will be a quicker suggestion compared to my other one haha. I just wanna suggest an event which would could fold into a Dance of Dragons or Maegor vs. Aegon/Jaehaerys Scenario. My Suggestion is to add an event where the Iron Throne can actually get stolen upon succession, meaning that your heir wont inherit your titles upon your death. This event could both be brought forth by a plot or a faction. With the faction it would be simmilar as it is now. The Lords in the faction would want someone else on the throne besides your heir and descide to put him there once your dead. With the plot it would probably be more realistic as putting someone else on the throne would require the plotters to be in the Capital. So with the Iron Throne it would simply be that you would loose the Duchy and County of King's Landing aswell as the Throne once your character dies and you would continue as Lord of Dragonstone. Once this happend you would get the usual message like
"My Princess, His Grace Viserys I. Targaryen has taken his last breath, may he rest in peace. Now his heir: King Aegon II. Targaryen will rule the seven Kingdoms henceforth"
once you clicked that away there would be another widow opening up like
"You are sitting in your solar as the news of your fathers death reaches you and your heart filles itself with sadness. That sadness would turn into rage though as the messangers looks at you with scared eyes and informs you that your half-brother Aegon has asumed the Throne!"
from this point on you could choose two Options
1. The Throne is mine!
2. This is the gods will!
With Option one you will imediatly start a Mega War on your claim on the Throne. With Option two you will submit to your usurper and accept his claim on the Throne.
With the other Kingdoms, Pre-Conquest, the rightful Heir might get a titular, unlanded king-tier title with his supporters as his vassals.
I think this would add a great amount of tension and realism to the Vanilla Mod, would also make you more weary of factions and plots within your court and would make succession never a clear thing.
