I'd say their needs to be some change when it comes to war in the seven kingdoms because as it is it seems there are always wars going on in them.
Ok, let's say that's fine, scrap the king's peace, you have revocation wars, wars to depose someone (all the wars I'm talking about are below the king, not against the monarch or mega-wars), sure; but I'll give you an example of something that seems to be a big problem/pain in the arse in my game. About two dozen times have I had to command the Lord Paramount of the Stormlands alone to stand down as he is constantly declaring wars on crownland vassals of the king bordering the stormlands. The Lord Paramount fabricates a claim, then declares war and seizes the territory. This is a big issue for crownland lords that are sworn directly to the king. The Lord Paramounts are less likely to war with each other because they are generally of roughly equal power, not so when 20 thousand rivermen march on 1.8 thousand men of Rollingford. The Lord Paramounts will eat up the crownlands and take away the kings own direct vassals unless the king protects them, BUT, there's a problem with that. You can only 'give a command' to someone every x number of years, so if the lord of the stormlands declares a war to take chyttering brook and I tell him to sod off, if he immediately or within a certain amount of time declares war on bywater or any other number of minor lords, the player is powerless to stop this. If the lord of the trident or the stormlands or the westerlands or any other get more than one claim they can just expand into the crownlands at will.
I don't know about you but I find the fact that the lord paramount's have the ability to take the lands of the kings directly sworn bannermen very irksome. If they have the claims, the player is powerless to stop this annoying expansion and I think that really needs to change.
I'm not entirely sure what a good solution is. Perhaps a solution could be an event that fires instead of the command interaction whenever a lord paramount declares war on another non-lord paramount sworn vassal of the king and the king can tell them to stop. If the king does then perhaps a -5 disapprove opinion.
