imgur.com/a/nrI8YeVInstead of the normal cool looking black armor and such? And what's up with the staff?

Using any portrait mods?
What is your game rule for martial headwear? I have it set to low ranks only.

This is not a portrait mod, they put this in vanilla. You need a guy with High Valyrian culture and certain trait combinations. It's fairly rare because you need a number of the traits combined, but it's really annoying when it happens because it doesn't fit the aesthetic of the seven kingdoms at all. I have no clue why they made this design decision. I thought it'd be easy to mod out but I still had it happen even after modifying the section to make the requirements essentially impossible.

Whatever the default is, but I'm not complaining about him wearing a helmet, I'm complaining about him wearing the wrong helmet, armor, and clothing. What are the traits that trigger it? Is your character Ironborn? No. Newly created character with High Valyrian everything.

You either delete HF_warrior_lodges_clothes.gfx in the got mod folder or edit the requirements in that file.

Also, some submods (specifically more bloodlines) have a copy of the same file, so you'd have to edit his version instead...

Well deleting that seems to remove the strange clothing and staff, but he still wears the same helmet when leading troops, but now he also wears a regular mail hauberk. Still not wearing the cool black armor... Also, I'd rather not delete the entire file if I can avoid it... what part of it specifically would I have to modify? Sorry for all the questions.

For anyone still interested, I think I figured out what specifically causes this. In the file kappa specified, it appears to be based on the Hellenic warrior lodge under spriteTypes. It happens when you have any military education in combination with at least 3 of these traits: Fair (attractive) Proud Zealous Fashionable Groomed Greedy Administrator Architect Seducer Seductress Socializer Schemer Erudite
All I did was delete the entries for these traits and that stopped the weird spear and clothing from showing up. If you have any trouble finding the entries, just search the file for "erudite" since those are the only spots that term shows up. The normal armor instead of the cool Valyrian black armor is still acting a bit strange, but gaining a higher tier title seems to have fixed that for the most part.

Hey I know this is pretty late, but I’m knew to ck2 Agot, when you say delete entries do you mean delete the trait?
