Forgive the dumb question, but is there any submod out there that allows you to reform the corsair / pirate faiths / any other minor religions?
I think it's a bit of a missed opportunity that taking another faith takes away your ability to raid (even with a culture that allows it like Qartheen) and that you're not able to reform Corsair into some sort of organised faith (though I think there should be some sorts of restrictions on what you can choose for balance purposes)

I’m pretty sure sisters of the waves religion is reformable. It’s essentially pirate religion without the negative opinion modifier.

Wow ok that was the first time I've ever heard of this religion, so I went in and had a look at it. It's called Lady of the Waves and damn those religious sites are going to be pretty hard to get. They're in Braavos, White Harbor, Gulltown, Sweetsister, and Sunderland (which has no temple built). So 4 sites in the de jure counties of 2 differnt kingdoms under the Iron Throne and 1 in Braavos. Also I checked all the different starts and there's not a single courtier who shares your religion. Is this religion just some unfinished part of the mod? Also it seems that the submod for this religion is dead / in the process of being revived (http://agotcitadel.boards.net/thread/1557/sub-lady-waves-mini-expansion)

It's a religion only practiced on the sisters (islands north of vale) by the sisterman in certain bookmarks. I think to use it you have to have sisterman culture, ethnicity and be an indpendent lord of the sisters to join the relgion. In terms of the holy sites, just console command the title of the church to yourself until you have all 5. Then you can reform it however you like. |

Got it. Still wish I could reform Corsair / Pirate though. I'ld like to play as a pirate and reform the religion without console shenanigans but I guess I just gotta hope / pray to the pirate gods that they add that into the game or someone makes a submod for it. I wish I knew how I could make it as a submod myself but I wouldn't even know where to begin. I kinda expected that making it reformable would be as simple as changing "can be reformed = no" to yes but after looking through the game files I realised it wouldn't be that easy.

yeah, I put some ideas in the suggestions forum regarding pirates and corsairs because I think they could be fleshed out a bit more to make them more fun / interesting to play. I will definitely have a go at a Lady of the Waves playthrough though so thanks for telling me about it

So this annoyed me enough that I went and figured out how to do it. I've got it working and I'll post it as a submod once I've got it to where I want it to be. Needs some stuff like a new icon and some other bits and pieces.
