I would like to suggest a new bookmark around 8298 or 8297 set somewhere during the first book.
Reasons:
1, This is one of the most popular start dates for players
2, There are already some major events written before Clash of kings, but are not included in any bookmark, etc Stannis and Renly event chain ( beautifully written and illustrated), maybe more.
There probably will need some additional events and settings added to justify a new bookmark, still, I assume this continues to be one of the most popular demands.
