Hello everyone,
I'm new to this forum and new to modding.
I want to share with you my own submod to Game of Thrones that I have called "The Blood of Ancestors".
It is my first mod to Paradox's game.
The Main Info
This modification adds to game new immersive event chains, that are connected to the main plot. The Blood of Ancestors' the most important assumption is to keep the players in game after they've achieved their goals.
My mod adds a new mechanic that I haven't seen in any mod in a game yet (vanilla too!). It gives you a chance to obtain bloodlines that are not possible to get (extincted for example).
It also add a new alternative history that is not directly connected to any event from books or TV show, but is still lore-likeable.
Origin
How did I get this idea? It's a short story. Let me start with a today's date. It is 19.07.2019. 2 months after the release of the final episode of 8 season of Game of Thrones.
Because I rather like stories than graphics, it was awful and terrible for me. I was watching it because of obligations - I really didn't want to.
Shortly afterwards I started to erase my memory and think about alternative GOT stories. I spend a whole week playing AGOT witch such satisfaction.
By the time, after playing like 300 years (starting at 8299 date) on each save I was getting bored. On that times, there were no reminiscence of old characters. I missed the story plots much too.
Then I started to realize my own goals on each save. The most entertaining one was to get as many bloodlines as possible. Of course, I was using that splendid submod that adds hundreds of them.
But it's not the end of the story.
I was sad that many bloodlines are gone forever because of their ancestors. And this is the moment where I got this idea. Why don't I pass something in the console panel and be happy? Naah, I hate cheating - I'll rather find a mod that gives a chance to obtain them.
And that's the main problem. There were no mods like this.
I wrote an "alleged-code" to got those bloodlines. Honestly, I wasn't satisfied with it. My imperative gave me no choice. I had to write a side-quest that gives you a chance to obtain a bloodline. Everyone knows, that the rewards taste the best after the big effort.
I've spent 2 weeks as an absolute newbie in modding - I was searching forums, threads, guides, wikis only to make my own "big" submod. And It is here

In short brief: This mod was created because of these three things.
- It was impossible to get extincted bloodlines
- I missed much the main characters. I was getting bored after 200 years of playing without them.
- The last season of GOT was terrible. GRRM still haven't written the Winds of Winter, so we do not know anything about the future events and stories.
My mod is dealing with all of those things.
The main plot
The Blood of Ancestors' main plot is based on my own story that is not directly connected to any book/show events.
I wanted to create a story, that may happen in any time and won't argue with the original.
The story begins when the character randomly meet one of the timeless beings. Do not worry. It is just a messenger of death. Those immortals used to carry out souls after the death (Thanks to Beric Dondarrion report: There is no other side, and there is only darkness).
I won't spoil why you've met that messenger, and what about it. The event pops up when you are in one of the strange and isolated locations on the map. You have to got one of your atributes at athe level of 15 or 25 points also.
The events are written so that you can live this story by yourselves. I just can say, that those messengers have quests and rewards of course. The main reward that is obtainable with every messenger event chain is achieving a bloodline. The second reward may bring you big advantages or disadvantages. Every messenger has his own second reward.
I wish to make side-quests for fourty four messengers.
As it is the first version of mod, and I don't know yet if you will be interested in new uptades - there is actually only 1 messenger with his task.

As I said, I won't spoil you the plot, but I'd like to share some photos that I took.
For the 18th messenger quest, you have to be in command in Haunted Forest, and have above 15 of learning or 25 of diplomacy.
Those events has many different endings that are open to explore.
And remember: Choices that you make in one's messenger event will have an impact on other chain events.
And of course, the more messengers you meet, the harder events will occur
