I can't be the only one who supports this theory, but, if I am ignore this post lol. I'd like to see this as an option besides the R+L one.
Not sure how hard that would be to do, and since I can't mod to save a baby kittens life, I'll just suggest it.

Ned Stark + Ashara Dayne, its one of the theories about Jons true parentage. Im personally a bigger fan of H+A = M&J. That is that Howland Reed seduced Ashara Dayne and that she is the mother of Meera and Jojen. In Deep Geek has a great video about it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKH_SVFYFAsAs this theory is without huge consequences I easilly modded "Jyana" Reed to have the same DNA, graphical culture and age as Ashara Dayne. I dont think it would be that hard to mod some kind of event for N+A into the game (by the people who know how to mod events that is). You could reverse engineer the events in tower_of_joy_events.txt to make the events about Ned and Ashara, but that would mean scrapping a lot of the event chain, keeping just a few of them to modify. I think R+L=J is in the game because it is not only plausible (I would say almost certain at this point), and that it creates a lot of changes for the world, the succession of the throne etc. N+A is a good theory, but it doesn't change anything about the Jon as a character. He's still Neds son, he's still a bastard, and he's still a Stark. So I would think you could create a little event for this by looking at the events in tower_of_joy_events.txt. It could be a cute little roleplaying thing, but I dont think the developers are going to make game rules for N+A, or H+A=M&J for that sake.

I'll be honest, i can't stand his accent so I won't watch him. That's the first I've ever heard of any Howland and Ashara theories though. Well, it depends on how you go about it... If you include Hoster Tully knowing of their marriage and forcing his hand to marry Catelyn, Jon would be the legitimate heir of the North, and the Tully brood all bastards. I'll point you to Order of The Greenhand on YouTube for any and all N+A theories/evidence.

Honestly most theories that concern Howland Reed are pretty far out there, since GRRM has given us so little information. Still fun though. Cool, I'll check Order of the Greenhand the next time Im binging theory videos!

Honestly, that's probably the most out there theory I've ever heard. I've heard of Meera and Jon being twins, Val and Jon, etc but the Howland snd Ashara one takes the cake lol.
You should, they provide some fairly decent evidence. Given how GRRM writes.

Ahh okay, thanks for the information, shouldn't be too hard to mod each of these theories in though, right? The most time-consuming thing will be shifting the events from the R + L = J one into any of the theories because after that it's just changing a few words per theory, right?

Really they could use the Robb-Roslin event for Ned and Ashara, just change it a little and bam, Hoster is using his position to make Ned betray his Gods and lover to save the rebellion

How would that event work in this scenario though?

Exactly how it works for Robb. Agree and Hoster joins, you marry Catelyn, Blackfish leaves for the Vale.
Disagree and you stay married to Ashara, who gives birth to Jon at the wolves den.

Wait, I think the confusion is that I've never seen this mechanic in any of my games. In most of my games, he ends up marrying Jeyne Pool.

This is something you would have to make as a submod.

Ohh, but it doesn't really do anything, does it? Well, if you marry Roslin, you keep the Frey alliance, if you marry Westerling, you break it. I've never picked the third option so I'm not sure. Toccs, alright, thank you for informing me.
