So with the new start dates I think It just might reach back to the ironborn golden age(when the old ways where born) and definitely when salt and rock kings existed and the kingsmoot as well and defiantly the end of the kingsmoot. I think that These features should be implemented if they are in the time period I think. In AWOIAF(A world of ice and fire) It says after the kingsmoot was abolished the crowns where made out of iron and when there where in effect the driftwood crown would be made anew so maybe we could get an event where the eldest legit son of the old king will ether give up the old crown or keep it and keep the claim to the throne and the new king gets an event where he makes a new driftwood crown. This would also well represent the peace held between the ironborn during the age of the kingsmoot. And on thralldom it is said early first men used the practice as well just a reminder.

Unfortunately those things are earlier in the timeline. At the time of the Andal Invasion, House Greyiron had been ruling the Iron Isles for 1000 years after Urron Redhand ended the kingsmoot tradition.

Then why are they using Driftwood crowns instead of Iron and you could add mechanics to outlaw reaving and invite/expel the septons.

There is a new ways / old ways mod, but I haven't played it much.
