There should be some sort of "Revenge" casus belli which is available to you if somebody were to kidnap, torture, murder or rape your kin or friends (which would add another benefit to befriending powerful people). It would allow you to declare war on somebody until the person with whom you are seeking vengeance is locked away in your cells. If the person with whom you are seeking vengeance is a courtier or has a direct liege then the liege will have the option of handing him over to you to prevent war.
This could also tie into blood fueds. Perhaps upon using the Revenge CB you also declare a blood fued upon the house of your target, although i havent exactly worked out the best balance yet for that.

Youare correct, however it is different than what i propose. For instance it is only available if you are already in a blood fued with a family, and can only be used once per lifetime. Moreover it applies to an entire dynasty, as opposed to an individual.
As it is currently, you have very little recourse if you were to be wronged in this game. There have been countless times where maybe my heir is killed or kidnapped, and theres nothing i can do to exact revenge. Even though within the rules laid out within the Song of Ice and Fire universe I'd be well within my rights to exact revenge, if I were to try to do it in game it results in a dishonorable trait. That to me is unfair and would be rectified if this CB were to be added.

I wholeheartedly agree, it is very much needed both in mod and in vanilla. I had my children, spouses, friends kidnapped, enslaved, murdered and couldn't do anything, it's infuriating.
