I am just wondering, is it going to be a good idea, if we could utilize retinues a bit more.
For example, it will be quite interesting if golden company could become retinues of Aegon Targaryen, especially after a trade off, like Aegon promises land the head of golden company as a cadet house.
Also it will be interesting, if we could combine the concept of house guard and retinues together, and put the leader of this unit in the court. Then we will have a chance to enjoy a lot more plots, like Praetoriani assassinate Caesars, and the capture of Ed Stark. It will also be interesting if such plots result in a coup d'état and hot combat in the capital involving the local troops and personal retinues.
