It is very hard to find that your wife has a friend and I am not sure of how to add a friend to her via console commands.
From what I've seen that is the criteria for handmaiden
Couldn't the criteria be changed so that it is only an unmarried woman w/o children and has certain traits? maybe family person?
Or only disqualified due to certain bad health traits (infirm) or the top 2 high education traits?
or both?
Then there could be a % that your wife and her handmaiden might become friends
Right now, getting a handmaiden is perhaps the most challenging aspect of the game
