I think it would be very lore friendly to give bastards of nobles to get the nickname 'Bastard of (province)" There is already 13 in canon, With names such as Rolland Storm and Ramsay Bolton being known as the Bastard of Nightsong and the Bastard of the Dreadfort respectively

The guess it would conflict with ser if they were a knight, but aside from that stuff like "The Bastard of the Dreadfort, Ramsay Snow", "The Bastard of Driftmark, Aurane Waters" or "The Bastard of Winterfell, Jon Snow" all have a decent ring to them |

Could be Ramsay "Snow, The Bastard of the Dreadfort" if we know the location
For military campaign, i suppose it's at the place where the character was but if it's not doable, just "Snow' (or whatever) is fine. I like the idea
