Submod updated. -Scaled back some of the variables I had emphasized for different education focuses -Fixed an error dealing with the honorable trait. I had accidentally set it to decrease the variable instead of increasing it. -Moved the is_dumb_including_imbecile_trigger to the block with diseases/epidemics, essentially making it so characters who are dumb, slow, or an imbecile aren't selected as guardians I'm also considering increasing the value for the fighter traits for the martial education focus and possibly even for the early childhood period (age 6-12) to increase the chances of better fighters. I usually play with my Marshal Matters submod, so this usually isn't an issue for me, but for those who don't use that submod, I would like some input on this. Aside from that, at the moment I don't foresee any further changes in the near future. Hi Azrael, Thanks for the continued good work. With this update, I've noticed that my character is automatically becoming the guardian of wards without my approval. Anyway to quickly fix this? It's annoying having to kill a ward to make space for my own children (usually the parents won'te let you re-assign a guardian). Thanks, Christian

got a question (this isn't a complaint just curious) wouldn't this mod do alot of changes to the seven kingdoms if robert is king would all children then become stormlander culture and north and iron islands would they also then convert to the seven? Wouldn't this mean within like 2 generations starks and grejoys won't be northmen old gods, and iron islander drowned god?

Wouldn't this mean within like 2 generations starks and grejoys won't be northmen old gods, and iron islander drowned god? No, because the initial guardian for children will have the culture and religion of their direct liege. There is a small change I made though:
immediate = { # Heritage if = { limit = { NOR = { culture = dragon_culture religion = dragon_rel trait = dragon } top_liege = { NOT = { culture = ROOT } } } set_focus = focus_ch_heritage break = yes } # Faith if = { limit = { NOR = { culture = dragon_culture religion = dragon_rel trait = dragon } top_liege = { NOT = { religion = ROOT } } } set_focus = focus_ch_faith break = yes } In this section at the top of the agot_meta_ai_education_events.txt file, I changed top_liege to liege so it scopes to the direct liege instead.

i don't understand modding well so does that if direct leige that still means starks and greyjoys are still affected right?

If by affected you mean they will become Faith of the Seven or a different culture, then no. The first guardian children will get will have the same culture and religion as their direct liege. For example, if a child has the LP of the North as their direct liege and the LP is Old Gods and Northman, then the first guardian they will get at age 6 will be Old Gods and Northman.
As for the direct liege change I mentioned in my previous post, I just did that change to make it so characters didn't unnecessarily receive the heritage or faith focuses if they already shared the same religion and culture of their direct liege.

Added a condition to child rulers who have yet to get a childhood focus to not receive either the heritage or faith focuses from the event in this submod.

But, there is a chance to change the culture or religión to a child with my permission?? I mean, i Will marry my son Who IS Hight-Valyrian with a Girls Who is East Val. I can make "manualy" that she chances her culture to HV giving her the correnct teacher? (Same for the religión?) Or they Will always take the linage culture

Or they Will always take the linage culture If a child is one of your own courtiers, you are able to choose what childhood focus they get before the age of 6 or if they are set to manual education. I recommend setting the childhood notifications to on for all courtiers in that case to know what's going on in your court. If a child has a different liege then, for the most part, you don't have control over it. If they are one of your wards, there is an event from the main AGOT mod that sometimes fires asking the child's liege permission to change the focus to either faith or heritage. All that being said, there is no conversion to High Valyrian culture for characters for lore reasons. High Valyrians were the Dragonlords of Valyria, the most powerful noble houses and those of pure blood. All other Valyrian cultures are considered of lesser blood as they have intermarried with non-Valyrians over time. Conversion to High Valyrian may be possible if you have the High Valyrian culling game rule set to off, though I can't say from experience since I don't play with it off.
On a side note, now that this has been brought up, I'll be putting in another condition to not get the heritage focus if their liege is High Valyrian.

Submod should be fine to use with 2.2.

Useful mod all in all. Just one thing though. I'm not familiar with ck2 modding process but would it be possible to add a decision or a game rule to set the player's close family's children in manual education ?
Though it seems to break dragon education. Which is most likely not intended.
You want to add the dragon focus in your triggers like so for BEDU.1
trigger = { NOR = { has_focus = focus_ch_thrift has_focus = focus_ch_duty has_focus = focus_ch_heritage has_focus = focus_ch_faith has_focus = focus_ch_pride has_focus = focus_ch_humility has_focus = focus_ch_etiquette has_focus = focus_ch_struggle has_focus = focus_ed_dragon mother = { has_character_modifier = manual_children } father = { has_character_modifier = manual_children } } NOT = { has_character_modifier = manual_education } }
And like so for BEDU.2
trigger = { NOR = { has_focus = focus_ed_diplomacy has_focus = focus_ed_martial has_focus = focus_ed_stewardship has_focus = focus_ed_intrigue has_focus = focus_ed_learning has_focus = focus_ed_dragon mother = { has_character_modifier = manual_children } father = { has_character_modifier = manual_children } } NOT = { has_character_modifier = manual_education } }
That way the dragons won't change focus

You can already set close relatives, or anyone else for that matter, to manual education. As for dragon focus, thank you, I'll take a look sometime this weekend when I have time.
