I underestimated a part of the mod that I hadn't noticed was incompatible. It is a bit over my head currently. Do not use this patch if you already downloaded it.. will return at a later moment if I find a fix.

Either one of them took preference over the other 00_traits.txt (probably Improved Genetics took preference since I comes after D in the load order I think). Thus you'd either have just the changes of Improved Genetics (but slightly outdated 00_traits.txt compared to 1.9). Or you'd have none of the Improved Genetics changes and just the Dueling Duelist changes.
In both cases, not very noticeable unless you directly look at it.

Well crap, that makes sense, thanks man, i had to personally edit Improved Genes to make it compatible so i bet your version is much better done aswell.

At the moment I am working on a general compatibility patch/merge between the Congenital Overhaul 1.9 (unofficial version by stonewallace17 ( agotcitadel.boards.net/post/11081 ) and the ones mentioned in this thread, + Better Bloodlines etc. I hope I'll succeed.

Update. Scrapped the old patch between Dueling Duelist and Improved Genetics, and built a new one based on the recently released Improved Genetics Advanced version by the same author. Basically it's an even more indepth version than the standard version.
See the OP for the description.

I overlooked a crucial part in the process. I don't think things are quite as correct as they should be. For the timing being I scrapped the links to avoid ruining people's games. There is something I haven't picked up on and I am struggling to fix concerning traits. Sorry for the inconvenience.. I will report back if I have found a solution.

dueling duelist, my version atleast, only adds some combat rating to the duelist trait. What trouble are you having making them compatible?

I had problems getting the traits correctly, since AGOT also has own traits which conflict. Such as Giant. And for some odd reason it ended up with three different Giant traits. One the large humanoids in the north, one a very tall human (vanilla trait), and one tall (from improved genetics) which shouldn't be named Giant but somehow it did.

Yea i've already encountered the issue several times, but i've already invested the save so i'll continue, i just manually remove Giant trait those i see. (This issue was present in last version i played aswell, but instead Giant trait had -30 General Opinion and +50 Opinion bonus with other Giants or something like that, so i'm kinda used to it by now)

I seem to remember technically being able to go without the extra traits by Improved Genetics. However, that kinda ruins the full effect of the mod in some ways. I'll experiment some more.

Sort of, it's silly to see some Lord in Riverlands have only two traits, just because Giant prevents any real education, and well, the trait itself is silly to see, but as i've said i'm kinda used to it by now, though i'd prefer not to have them, obviously lol.

What I'm wondering is how does GoT vanilla deal with the giant trait?
Improved Genetics after all doesn't create a giant trait, it creates a tall trait. Giant is the high tier of the tall congenital group.
If it merely renames it, then all that must be done is to replace the 'giant' trait in the improved genetics events file with whatever name AGOT uses.
If you want I can make a compatible for Improved Genetics, since its been requested several times to be by several people. I just need to know all existing genetic systems (like strong seeds and what not) in AGOT.

Oh you could do that? i mean if it's a simple as renaming a trait i wouldn't want to bother you, just gotta explain to me how to do it lol.
