I've fixed the ears for valyrian women. It's an issue with the frankish portraits themselves, they're defined as having 12 ears, when they only have 4. I tried to fix this previously by including the frankish.gfx file with corrected ears, but that didn't work (which is should have). I've now fixed it by just defining valyrian female ears, that use the frankish ones. Make sure you redownload.

There is a way, go create a character with the custom character creator, make them look like how you want. Now save as that character (MAKE SURE THE SAVE IS UNCOMPRESSED - USE CHECK BOX). Now, open the save, which should be located under documents/paradox/ck2/a game of thrones/save games and near the very top you'll see player_portrait= and under that you'll have a dna="something" and properties="something else" copy those entries and paste them in the respective character file, in the case of Rhaegar and Daenarys this would be the Crownlands character file located at documents/paradox/ck2/mod/a game of thrones (DIFFERENT FOLDER THAN THE ONE ABOVE)/history/characters. Just ctrl+f for the chracter (make sure it's the right character as names are constantly reused, it should be pretty self evident based on the traits) and paste the dna and properties over the old entries and save. It sounds sort of complicated all written out but that's just because I wanted to be clear, other than the character creation it all takes literal seconds once you know what you're doing. Thanks, that worked perfectly. Though the corrected history files is something I think may end up being sorely needed as being default in future versions of the mod. By the way, one future suggestion I have for the mod Tubbs is that the mod really needs some new BF versions of the unique Stronger Seed child portraits, which for now seem like their limited to the adults.

Thanks for the suggestion nerdman3000, that's something I want to work on, but I'm trying to find a working .dds olugin for photshop at the moment as it would be much easier to do with Photoshop instead of paint.NET.

I've also been thinking about setting up a post or archive or something of DNA/properties edited so that people can just copy them off there and paste them into their saves/history files. It could be a bit irrating at first, but it's a hell of a lot simpler for me than including edited history files in the mod, that would then need to be redone every update.

If you'd like, I could compile some corrected history files for some of the characters in the mod that sorely need it and send it to you, when I can that is?

I'll set up the page at some point over the next few days, my plan would be for people to submit corrected DNA/properties, and just use the page as a central place for people to go for them.

Thank you for your work! From the pictures the mod looks awesome. I do have two quick questions though - I copy-pasted the movie file and the folder into my mods but nothing's changed. How I install the mod? (Sorry, not used to non-steam installations)
Second, you mentioned a readme file for alternative visuals for the mod. I extracted and searched and there is no read-me file.
Thanks for the answer in advance.
Nevermind, I'm stupid. I worked how to make the mod running but I'd like to use some alternate portraits still.

To install the mod you just need to open the zip and copy the folder and .mod file into your CK2 mod folder (located at Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings 2\mods). Then just enable the mod in the launcher. I haven't included the alternate readme in the latest version of the mod, as I haven't updated the alternate portrats yet. I also need to update the images on the front page to reflect how I've changed things in the latest update.

A few issues in Essos but nobody cares about Essos.

Does the fat trait work for the Westerosi faces? (I noticed you haven't gotten around to Essos faces yet in an earlier commen and am fine with that) It's just that Lord Manderly is looking kind of not fat.

It should work for everyone in Westeros but Former Southrons. It was a minor oversight on my part, I thought they used the Reachman portraits, but they actually use the norman portraits, I've fixed it already and I'll update the download momentarily, but if you don't want to redownload it you can go to mod\AGOT Better Faces\common\cultures\first_men.txt scroll down until you see "half_southron" (line 218) and "reachmangfx" in front of where it says "normangfx".

I love that your one oversight in the continent of Westeros is the one tiny culture that features the most iconicly fat character in the series. It's almost poetic.
Anyway, thanks for all your work, AGOT is unplayable for me if I have to look at the vanilla faces.
