Hello, I wanted to improve Dance of the Dragons timeline in the mod and wanted to ask for help. I would need someone to write down timeline and chronology of how events happen during the war. Most events have no date assigned, but there are menitons in the book of moon's turns which can help with atributing events to certain months. Any help will be appreciated.

I'd be happy to give it a go - probably should be able to do a timeline over the weekend

Must it include the pre war events p,like everything that led up to it or just the war itself

So I looked into it. There's a slight issue with it. If you work by the timeline in the book and add a few days/weeks every time it says so, then you end up a few months short of Rhaenyra's death. I tried it and even after stretching stuff I had Rhaenyra running from Kings Landing in the 7th month but she reaches Dragonstone and dies there at the end of the 10th month. Even if she stopped at Duskendale it shouldn't take 3months to get from Kings Landing to Dragonstone.

Well, it looks like Martin is again terrible with math.

Well, it looks like Martin is again terrible with math. I think so. Jacaerys Velaryon dies at the end of 129AC. Rhaenyra gets angry at that, snaps out of her depression and takes Kings Landing soon after. She then rules for roughly half a year. Then she orders the murder of Nettles and Addam Velaryon. Both of them escape but Corlys Velaryon is taken into custody, and Daemon dies in battle with Aemond on 22/5/130. Soon after that, the Velaryon fleet learns of Corlys' arrest and abandons Rhaenyra. Queen Helaena kills herself a few days later (after some Velaryon men are hanged for trying to free Corlys), triggering the riots of Kings Landing that very evening. Joffery Velaryon dies the next night, and Rhaenyra runs with Aegon the Younger, the remaining Queensguard, and some token guards and handmaidens. She heads to Rosby and is turned away. She is only allowed to stay for one night at Stokeworth. She reaches Duskendale where she is allowed to stay for a little while but the Lady in charge of Duskendale keeps pushing her to leave. She then leaves Duskendale and reaches Dragonstone on 22/10/130 where she is executed by Aegon II on the same day. It is possible it took her a few weeks to reach Rosby and then again a few between Rosby and Stokeworth and once again between Stokeworth and Duskendale but it seems unlikely given how close they are. And while she could have stayed for a few months at Duskendale, the text makes it clear that Lady Stokeworth did not want her there or like her so I don't she let Rhaenyra stay there for a few months.

Also there was some discrepancy when I plotted the events leading up to Jacaerys' death too. Those could be reasonably stretched out but if you plot it out as the book lays it out there's still a gap.
