Make sure you have your drivers, directx, and microsoft visual c++ up to date as well.

Ok, I seem to have found the issue: The game was not set to english. It seems that you have to have the game set to English, for the mod to work properly. Or at least, don't have it set to German xD

Hello, ever since the Better Building update I have not been able to launch the game from the launcher. I have disabled all other mods aside from this one. Also the game runs without it as well. I didn't have a problem until the new update so I was wondering if it was a problem on my end?
Update: This solution worked for me-

Is there a console command to change house words? I messed up and cancelled the first time and now the option is gone for me.

I hope so too. I'll try a fresh install later today. And if that doesn't change anything, maybe 1.8 will work. Anyways, thanks for your help! It could be DX 11 issue, if so you just need to manually install the latest version. But if your base Ck2 work it shouldn't be the problem, have you ever changed ck2 files in anyway? Is it downloaded via steam ? Maybe try to play a submod like Valayrian freehold first? Sometimes the game will fix itself, don't really know how but that could happen. The checksum is wrong with me too but doesn't affect my gameplay in the slightest

3.1 isn't out until next week though ^^ How are you running 3.1.1 when it's not even out yet? OK smartheads I meant 3.0.1.1, my bad I'm gonna try reinstalling with the antivirus off to see if that helps, but at this point I think nothing's going to help

So a friend and myself have run into an issue. New to CK2 and the GOT mod. Both installed it today.
One of us used the EXE, the other used the zipfile. When we download the mod (1.9) it actually shows up as 1.7.1 as far as we can tell. When we launch CK2 we get 2 results.
On CK2 3.1 it immediately crashes as soon as we click play. It just shut downs. On the old 3.0.1.1. version it lets us get through the initial loading. But as soon as it gets towards the end the music stops and the game shuts down.
Anybody know a solution? Windows 64 bit. Everything is up to date. CK2 itself launches fine without the mod.

edit: for curious people the new dlc added a new entry in the define.lua :
NWonders = { MIN_LOOTABLE_STAGE = 2, -- The stage set here will be lootable but looting will automagically stop at after it has been looted and no looting will be possible below this stage CONVERTER_IGNORE_HISTORICAL_WONDERS = 1, -- If set to one then the historical wonders will not be transfered through the EU4 converter even if they have finished the final stage of construction. NON_CONCLAVE_COST_MULTIPLIER = 0.6 -- Without the Conclave tax laws the independent rulers will have significantly less income. }
any entry missing will cause an instant crash to desktop. So if you are getting an instant crash to destop, search there ^^
Try the instructions here

There might still be some bugs that 3.0.1.1 was supposed to fix but at least it's playable in the meantime
