During one game of mine I had a crazed wroth dragon in my capital province. It killed my three sisters, two of my cousins, and a random courtier before I had a random encounter with it and decided to try to kill it. Through good luck* I managed to kill it and stop the terror. If I hadn't, who knows how many would have died? Now I realize that one cannot realistically fully control access to a wild dragon, but giving the order not to approach it upon penalty of death, posting guards around its lair to keep people out etc. ought to keep the majority of people from even trying, and keep out most of those who try. *I assume it was good luck. I don't know the odds of killing a dragon, but I assume that crazed wroth dragons of decent size are not likely to fall prey to mere mortals.
