First had this idea on josella 's religion suggestion thread, reposting it here to be on the safe side.
I had a thought for a fun addition to the Faith of Seven - favoured god mechanics for the seven, not for all FoS characters, but zealous ones have a chance for an event to fire giving them a trait reflecting the god they chose to pray to most often - the father could grant a +1 diplomacy, the mother a +5% fertility, the smith a +1 stewardship, the warrior a +1 martial, the stranger a +1 intrigue, the maiden an opinion boost with the opposite sex, and +1 learning for the crone. I think this could add some nice flavour to the Faith and if the bonuses were kept small it could actually fit quite well with what we know about westeros with the potential to read it as magic or coincidence - ie does a character have a +1 boost because the Warrior blesses him in battle or because he is obsessed by combat, does a character have a +5% fertility because of the maiden or because they're really desperate for kids, does a character have a +1 stewardship because of the smith or because their devotion makes them converse with tradesmen etc
