So I was playing around in an unofficial AGOT start (custom start just after Jon Arryn dies). It's my prefered start date because I like to feel like I'm changing the canon story from its start. I expect to see a few oddities with any unofficial start because I know the mechanics work that way sometimes, but one stood out to me as especially strange as I couldn't figure out a mechanical reason for it to be the case. Reek and all of the bastard's boys were living at Deepwood Motte. I checked some older starts, as far back as the Greyjoy Rebellion, and they were still there. Then I went forward to the ACOK start and they were still all living at Deepwoode Motte. That's when I realized that this had to be an actual error and not a mechanical oddity from an unofficial start.
For the record the other oddities with the AGOT start, in case any of them are not "on purpose" (ie an expected side effect of a mechanical thing).
1. Sansa is already in King's Landing (I checked and this is the case with I think any start after the Greyjoy rebellion, I checked a date just after Rickon's birth to be sure).
2. Myrcella is already in Dorne (NOT the case in just after Rickon's birth start)
3. The whole Tuttle family lives at the Wall, this is true even in the Greyjoy Rebellion start. Kinda funny cause there's a married couple and a little girl, none of them are black brothers.
4. Jorah Mormont does not have Jeor for a dad (has correct mom) and occupies his own space in the Mormont family tree (could have been a one time error, didn't check for this one in my tests on other start dates sorry) [ANSWERED]
5. The Kingsguard mostly aren't at the White Tower. Most of them are somewhere in Essos (I THINK Pentos, but I'm not 100% on that), and Jamie is at Casterly Rock. Only Barristan Selmy is there I believe, and a bunch of Selmy family members are with him which I don't think is supposed to be the case.
I also had a weird thing where there were a bunch of Maesters from the Citadel living somewhere in the Westerlands, I think with the Westerlings? But this one didn't seem to happen in any of my other tests. Seems like a one time error.
Oh and I also noticed the game was generating a ton of random Brindleman courtiers in just about every court in the game.
I think that's everything
