Just wondered, would it be possible to code an event, where say a king or a liege lord, could seize your "lover" you're not married to the person, might be betrothed, or simply be lovers. So you decide to go to war. Similar to how Robert went to war.
I know you could probably just go to war, minus the event. But I'm thinknig the event could be something where you choose not to go to war, and plot, or continue to see your lover. The last two could lead to longer events, that potentially either see the ruler dead, or ill, or maimed, something. Or, see you thrown in prison, and executed with your lover for treason.
Or if it's a cruel king, they kill the lover, to spite you. or seize your titles. something like that.
or if you do go to war, then at the end of it, you can retake your lover, potentially marry them. overthrow your ruler. etc.
Wondering how possible that'd be to implement, also, how difficult.

I could be wrong but I believe there is already an option to demand the release of a prisoner if they are a member of your family. If the other lord refuses you can then go to war for their release. Maybe that could be changed to include lovers and fiances?

yeah. I think you might be right, but what I'm thinking about isn't necessarily with a prisoner. It'd trigger based on if the person is your lover. In retrospect, it might be pretty convoluted what I was thinking. So your idea is better, just go to war over lovers and betrothed prisoners.
