Seeing how the Conciliator used them and the Manderlys wanted Aegon III to do one a royal progress system could be a nice addition - it could work like when you go on a journey to visit the free cities etc, with you choosing a realm - or all the realms, you stop off and visit every dukedom in a kingdom (and the wall if you're in the North, and the bloody gate if you're in the Vale) weighted rng if you impress the lord raising opinion or he gets annoyed that you overstay the welcome, choose the size of your entourage, smaller entourages less impressive but less costly for both you and your host so greedy/humble etc may like small entourages, gluttons/ambitious etc may prefer larger ones, you can face bandit raids on the road threatening you and your entourages with smaller retinues more susceptible. If a war breaks out you end the progress and rush home and at the capital of the kingdom you visit there's a great feast, depending on the retinue you take some people may affairs, make friends, gain rivals etc, and there are modifiers that could increase the chance of a successful progress - you could donate a large amount of gold that means your vassals do not pay to host you so are more amenable, if you are a dragon rider the dragon impresses them etc
