Currently, if you've inherited a dragon from your father, it can be nearly impossible to tame it because there's no way for you to get Dragon Intel.
It seems weird that taming chances are influenced by it but there's no way to actually get the Intel if you didn't hatch the dragon yourself.
Why shouldn't a character with an untamed dragon friend be able to gather this information? I suggest adding a condition so the events can fire either when you hold an egg or have an untamed dragon friend.

That sounds reasonable to me.

What would make more sense would be the following: Upon successfully hatching AND taming a dragon you get an additional write a book option, "On Taming Dragons." The level of the book will vary based on the number of dragon intel you possessed when you hatched and tamed, plus your learning (because you're still writing a book). Level of the book will auto grant "x" number of dragon intel points. Posessing the book will grant (if ruler) dynasty members IN YOUR COURT access to the level of dragon intel points (will help with giving eggs to your children) Conditions to read/use the book, be of "book creator's dynasty" AND possess any skill over a predetermined value / OR possess x learning and x intrigue (learning to understand the contents, intrigue because you either stole it or took it via conquest and it'd be safe to assume that the existence of such a book would have some kind of cipher on it).
Besides adding the above caveat I would love to see a mod like this. If I had any knowledge of modding/coding whatsoever I'd make it myself.
