I put my Stormland (crappy culture) children with a Sand Dornishman (better culture) in my court with the hopes of swapping culture, but it always fails. This is likely a bug, because it works perfectly the other way around (them converting to my crappy culture). The description of Heritage Focus says that it does convert kids to any culture except Valyrian cultures, but I've never seen it succeed, despite sitting a kid with a foreigner for six gosh forsaken years.
Am I doing something wrong? Is the thing bugged? If it's not bugged, why are we forbidden from educating kids in foreign cultures? Is the Faith mechanism busted in the same way?

In my last playthrough in Lorath, I had a yi ti physician who had kids who were yi-tish, with the heritage focus, switch to Lorathi

From my experience, if I called in a Yi-Ti physician and put my six year old with Heritage Focus under him, the six year old would not become Yi-Tish. However, if the Yi-Ti physician had kids with the Heritage Focus that were put under me, they WOULD convert to my culture. That is the bug I am writing about.

That is not a bug, you can only convert to the culture of your educator if your location or liege is also that culture.
