does the mod use the newly updated More Bloodlines or old? New, but I know a lot of people are having problems with it. It should be safe to use on either version, some bloodlines in the strong seed section will still show up but not do anything because the relevant code behind the flag will be gone on the older.

Its been a few days since a proper update but I finally bit into some complicated bits I'm adding in. The next update is going to be what is most likely the final patch on this chapter assuming there aren't any big bugs. I've added a functioning strong seed effect for all 3 types of valyrian (high valyrian and west were already in technically, I just made a custom high valyrian with the chance to obtain more than just the one shade of purple eyes, and refined the scope for west valyrian a bit) and east valyrian will now be completely functional.
here is the current feature list that will go into effect once I release chapter 2, of which the theme is loyalty.:
Each animal trait (as well as new custom animals) are going to have bloodlines like the starks direwolves and the reeds lizard lions, etc. If you select the founder trait at character creation, as well as any of the animal traits, an event will fire on game start asking if you'd like to make the animal your house animal. You can do this for any animal trait you select, I could limit that, but honestly people who can get 40 animals on start are cheating already anyway so go wild.
The second part adds a friend and foe system as part of the second set of events that fire in the maesters founder event. You will be asked if you had enemies or friends during your rise to power, and depending on how you answer (and if you have relevant traits eg: wroth) you will be able to select up to anywhere between 3 friends (via an interaction event, right click on the portrait of the character you wish to befriend and select the relevant option, similar to how the house customizer works) and 3 enemies. They will give an opinion modifier between each other. If you have wroth, ruthless, or other similar traits you will be able to push it further, starting a blood feud with their dynasty.

For some reason the founder trait isn’t working. The trait is there but the event doesn’t pop up, is there a way to do it manually?

Thats strange, There is a way to fire it manually but is there something you've changed recently to make it nonfunctional? I'm using it freshly downloaded from dropbox with just stormborn and mbs 3.0 without issue.
The command to fire the event would be "event origins.0001" in the console.
I also have a discord if you'd want to poke me there, its a bit easier to send screenshots and things for support.
Could you also give me the process you used to get to this point? You had the founder trait selected, as well as any of the flavor things you wanted?

You had the founder trait selected, as well as any of the flavor things you wanted? I haven’t really done anything differently. I still have the old MB since the 3.0 was giving me issues. The event with start up on some characters but on others it won’t or I’ll leave the game and come back then it’ll start up. Same thing with the root mods, they won’t start up and if I do, do it manually and try to flip through the pages to pick what genes it just closes.

I'd think its probably mbs 2.0 possibly, but that doesn't make a whole lot of sense either since the events themselves aren't mbs dependant, just the bloodlines and things they are granting you. I wasn't going to do a full on backtrack to old mbs because there is already another update coming out in the near future and I'd like to keep this as forward facing as possible, but if something bunks it so hard it doesn't work at all then I'll make a compatch for it as soon as I update to chapter 3 when the new mbs drops.
Submods could possibly be an issue? My events work identically to how the dragon rider trait works in the sense that the game just looks if you have the trait, if yes, fire event on next free cycle (usually once or twice a month), so if a lot of things fire all at once its possible mine gets bogged out looking for a free cycle to stick in to. This is how it avoids firing on top of other mod events like the storyline specific ones on game launch.
I'm not discounting my own error by any means, I just can't seem to replicate the issue on my end to know where to even start looking (granted, like I said I'm using current stuff, I'll try to fiddle with mbs 2.0 tomorrow when I have some free time)

I've been getting reports that this isn't working well with more bloodlines 2.0, it does not currently have full support for it as I made this mod alongside 3.0 and with another update for bloodlines on the horizon, I'd rather keep looking forward at the moment. If anyone else patches this on their own and would like to provide a link or would like me to host a link to it, please feel free to drop it in the comments. I fully support all player patches, translations, and bugfixes. I do have an official patch in the pipeline a ways down the line after support for whatever is left of the modern submod scene if nothing else ever comes up in the meantime.

For congenital overhaul, definitely. I do intend to make a patch for that as soon as it updates though. Same thing with CBBT, in fact as long as nothing is wildly changing between the two, the same patch that works for CO should work on CBBT. If portrait overhaul works with MBS fine, there shouldnt be an issue there. I don't change appearances, just use what MBS gives us in a different way.
