So hey, another one of these rare posts. I'm trying to make it work getting Valyrians into Europe (because I want to look different and more supreme then everyone else of course). I've pretty much ripped the assets from the mod into a new personal mod directory, got everything removed involving those special events that I don't want to bother going through to keep.
Everything I have ripped from the mod:
/common/culture/valyrian_culture.txt - renamed from fk_valyrian.txt, only kept High Valyrian and Western Valyrians. Removed the character modifiers and alternate start stuff.
/common/graphicalculturetypes/01_valyrian.txt - just the valyriangfx/westvalyriangfx and skintone stuff
gfx/characters/ - valyrian male and females plus the child portraits
interface/portraits/portraits_valyrian.gfx - ripped from the namesake
and the localisation/valyrian_local.csv with the lovely "valyrian;Valyrian;Valyrien;Valyrisch;;De Valyria;;;;;;;;;x" stuff.
Knowing that modding is never that easy, I highly expected some issue to arise. My issue at the moment is actually getting the culture/gfxculture to show up in game.
Simple .mod file:
name = "Valyrians in Europe"
path = "mod/Valyrians in Europe"
(Creative naming I know, very ingenious)
I don't know what might be the cause of it not actually showing up in-game. The game's not crashing at the very start so that's a good step. The issue is that the culture group isn't showing up in-game. Not in the ruler designer and not when trying to use console commands to set gfxculture/culture. Any help appreciated.
tl;dr ripped Valyrian assets from the AGOT mod that I read from older versions of similar requests through Google Searches to have Valyrians in Europe, game doesn't crash but mod doesn't work at all. Mayday, mayday. Please send help.
