Okay so i've been trying to find YiTi.gfx for a day now to edit Hair colour/eyes but i can't seem to find a trace of it. i found YiTi.gfx in Main AGOT/interface/Portraits but it seems to have no relation to the Chinese portraits as they have 'Western_male' features. i'm using Faces Modification Submod but even without it, my in-game YiTish portraits are Chinese/Han, which i like, but why can't i find the .gfx file for it?? i've even tried messing with Original Chinese/Han portraits in CK2 Interface folder but i couldn't find any Chinese/Han.gfx there either.. i only found Chinese.gfx in a CK2/DLC folder, which, after editing it there, completely broke my game and YiTish portraits reverted to defualt Mongol ones. after which i had to reinstall my game completely. Anyways, i'm quite frustrated and desperate so any help will be highly appreciated. even a slightest hint of where i could find the right .gfx file would help greatly.

Looking through my game it appears by default the YiTi culture is set up so that it uses the Chinese portraits if you have them, the mongol ones if you don't have those and as a last resort, the YiTi portraits added by the mod. Probably the best way to achieve what you're trying to do would be to change it so that they use the YiTi portraits first then the others. To do that go to: A Game of Thrones\common\cultures\jade_sea_2.txt. Then scroll down until you find the YiTi section and then in the brackets for the second "graphical_cultures" section (line 285 for me) cut and paste "yitigfx" so it's to the left of "chinesegfx" and "mongolgfx". Once you've done that you can now make changes to the portraits_yiti.gfx file and they'll show up in game. Obviously, you'll need to open up that file and replace every instance of the words "western" and "saltdornish" with "chinese" if you want them to still use the Chinese portraits and hair respectively. Then you can change the hair/eye colours as you would normally.

God i dunno why i wanted this to work so bad, i'm so relieved now that it finally worked. thank you Tubbs! all the frustration finally went away PS, so if anyone else is curious/has same issue. the problem was that Chinese portraits were prioritised, so no matter what changes i made to YiTi.gfx it wouldn't take effect cause it used the Chinese portraits instead of the YiTi ones. so now that i've changed the Order the game used the Defualt YiTi ones which i've edited. so now all i have to do is make that YiTi.gfx use the Chinese facial features and clothes and presumably it should work. would never figure this out on my own so thank you once again Tubbs!
