sorry i didn't know where else to put this, but is there a way to make a dragon rider travel anywhere they want? logically speaking a large dragon should for example be able to fly from mainland westeros to the iron islands or dragonstone or the the other side of the narrow sea without the need for ships. maybe the size of dragon could determine the distance and speed it could travel, but like in-lore jaehaerys and alysanne flew to the wall (i assume alone), im sure silverwing and vermithor could fly to volantis or valyria. would this be possible?
thanks in advance

I already kind of roleplay that with the commander assignation, making my character going from commanding a army from one side of the to command other far way, he is just taking a dragon ride, nothing wrong there... But i get what you mean, a event you can trigger in the intrigue menu if a dragon rider like fly to explore Valyria or something like that would be fun. Maybe suggest this in the "Dragon Portraits & Traits - Submod" or "Dragons Expanded - Graphics and Flavor submod" and maybe they could add that in

Engine-wise this would be hard to implement. Off the top of my head I can think of four ways to make dragons work this way, at least a bit:
*) Make dragons a unit: then they'd either count as troops or ships. You can give them a huge movement speed bonus to reflect their wings. But there is no way to make it able to cross both the land and the sea. *) Make them a custom counsellor so you can put them anywhere on the map: would work, and can then be further controlled by custom events. But moving the dragon would be limited by the assignment time block for job actions. And we'd really need a unit model to put on the map for it. *) Move them through events: I can't even imagine how you would start to code this given there are hundreds of provinces. *) Move them through a targeted decision on another character: possibly the easiest way to do so, basically a variant on the Royal Progress tour system in the mod. Still, you'd need to write some pretty good events to control everything.

How would this be reflected in-game, though? If you want to bring troops somewhere then a dragon wouldn't help, because you can't put an entire army of dragonback. If you want just your ruler to very quickly go from point A to point B... What would that do in the game?

That would be bad ass I can volunteer to make the unit model for this if someone does come up with a way to code that! Just DM me!
