As thespouseofthesun has pointed out a bunch of houses in AGOT 2.0 have the targ bloodline that shouldn't, until the devs release a patch I thought I'd post a fix for it - I've made two versions for this, one that also removes the bloodline from the black pearls and one that does not www.dropbox.com/s/1tuuoqj9kmkosqq/targ%20bl%20fix.7z?dl=0unzip it and overwrite the roberts_rebellion_events file in the events folder just to make things easier for them so they see this I'll also tag knuckey Paxter Redwyne

This should be fixed in the next update, it was caused by small typo while copypasting.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the Lannisters did have some dragon blood. Thanks for the quick fix!

I mean if you believe the rumors Tyrion theoretically has a whole lot more than just a drop of Targ blood lol

I mean if you believe the rumors Tyrion theoretically has a whole lot more than just a drop of Targ blood lol I always thought it’s way more likely that Jaime and Cersei are the secret Targs, they share waaaaaaaay more in common with the targs and Tywin not being Tyrion’s dad is a way of freeing Tyrion from a lot of emotional baggage which is really not the way GRRM does things - to quote Genna “Jaime, sweetling, I have known you since you were a babe at Joanna's breast. You smile like Gerion and fight like Tyg and there's some of Kevan in you, else you would not wear that cloak...but Tyrion is Tywin's son, not you. I said so once to your father's face, and he would not speak to me for half a year.”

It may turn out that Tyrion is not Tywin's. It may turn out that Cersei and Jaime are not. It may turn out that both or neither are true. To claim that we can know with any certainty what GRRM will write, before he has even written it, is just wish fulfillment.

I like how GRRM plays around with the concept of hidden parentage from various angles. He explained how history isn't always the true story. I'm not entirely sure if he ever mentioned coming upon a story from the history about the war of the roses, were the given facts didn't completly add up. But either way, those kind of fascinating discoveries are a great source of inspiration when writing.

Replacing the "roberts_rebellion_events.txt" with the new one doesn't seem to work for me. Started a new game and everything.
Edit: It just occurred to me that it's an event file for Robert's Rebellion. Am I correct in assuming it'll only work for that bookmark? If so, what would be the quickest and cleanest way to remove the Targ bloodline from people unrelated in other bookmarks or the free dates?

It appears to work for all the bookmarks, so you shouldn't have to worry about cleaning out the others. I installed the fix, then started a save a few years after the Conquest, and one during the AFFC mark, and the Lannisters are fixed.

The Robert's rebellion event file is the big setup event for all scenarios. From Aegon's Conquest to Dany.

Hmm for some reason the first time I replaced the file it didn't take. It does now however. Now to clean up my savegame... The Robert's rebellion event file is the big setup event for all scenarios. From Aegon's Conquest to Dany. .
Could that also be the reason my very tiny de jure modification a while back didn't take? I tried to place a county directly under a kingdom title, like Ghaston Grey falls directly under the Dornish crown, and Bear Island falls under the North...

Probably not. The only de jure related stuff in the setup event is Summerhall and a bit of New Valyria, for the Bleeding Years.
Most other de jure stuff would be done in common/landed_titles
