What do you think of a sub-mod that add's a raven mechanic similar to that of dragons (as separate characters)?

ultimately it’d make sense for most of the ski changing animals to become characters rather than traits, as dragons have - if ravens get this treatment dogs, wolves, direwolves etc should all get the same treatment. The issue with this is doing it would be really time consuming which is (I assume) why the devs have yet to do it

Tbf seeing the name of your raven, being able to breed ravens and I’d say you had say a father and son who both skin changed into ravens it might be nice to see how those two ravens were related - ultimately you could make the same argument about dragons too - much of the dragon system was handled via trait before they became characters - but the changed helps a lot with immersion

If I were implementing pets from scratch in the current version I'd do them as artefacts. Those can exist independent of characters and keep a history, without needing the overheard of being full fletched 'persons'.

I can see the value in stuff like ravens and boars and the other more minor animals as artifacts - but given their character and popularity stuff like direwolves (and arguably the other large predator animals - bears, shadowcats, wolves, dogs, eagles) should be characters, plus with artifacts you get issues like being able to gift your animal to a non skin changer and the pet basically being immortal unless you put some sort of timer on the artifact but it’s not a brilliant representation either

Is anyone interested in helping me either in coding or by doing graphics?

I seem one pop up in Daenerys inventory during a game. Btw i think that going with the animal companions as characters one cool thing would be being able to have a death event like: "The light of life is already fadding in your body, there is no escape from the death grasp, but this doesn't need to be the end..." Then have a choice like: "One last time i reach for my second skin, my body may parish, but my spirit will not die with it!" Or "I shall not live if the price is be forever a beast! I will embrace death in my own flesh!" A mechanic like a animal companion gaining some of the mental traits of his dead warg reflecting a scrap of his mind enduring and a event to take over a skin from a dead one to have acess to those scraps would also be cool. Like in a Orell/Varamyr style.
