Hi there! We're delighted that we're able to tell you about our game, over at /r/sevenkingdoms! SevenKingdoms is a new game on Reddit merging between more mechanical Powers games and complete RP centric games. It encourages story-telling and advancement of characters while still having strategic game play as an element. Our game balances both roleplay and strategy elements in a way that appeals to a broad range of players. You control your House in 7K and can take them in many different directions, whether advancing their place in Westeros or challenging the status quo - and it's totally, one hundred percent free!
In the A Song of Ice and Fire canon, the Blackfyre Rebellion happened in the year of 196 AC, but our story took a different path from when we started in 188 - and instead in that time period, we saw the Laughing Storm's Rebellion happen. Just over ten years later, in 208 the First Blackfyre Rebellion happened when Daemon Blackfyre declared [independence](https://www.reddit.com/r/SevenKingdoms/comments/95zlu1/event_the_blackfyre_empire/). Many battles and sieges followed, with several notable deaths occurring in the war, including Prince Maekar Targaryen and Ser Aegor Bittersteel. Following which, the realm had saw many trials and triumphs; including an uprising in the Reach that saw the Lord of Highgarden deposed, and the untimely death of the young king.
There is something for everyone, from fast-paced claims that require attention, scheming and front-line actions; but for those who are interested in the quieter side of life, there are houses in more lax positions, that can focus upon trade, marriage and the development of their region.

It's understandable that at first, it may seem like a lot to take in, but the worst part is thinking about how confusing it may be. But you don't need to worry about all the confusing parts of the world at first (or in many cases, if you don't want to at all). You're free to focus on action and intrigue, or romance and courtship - or both, or neither. You're not restricted to just playing a house but if it is realistic and feasible for the world we're in, you can play it!
Here's a useful guide!
